CNN —TGL, the high-tech indoor golf league spearheaded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, is set to tee off at last on January 7, 2025, after a schedule was released Monday. The January 7 curtain-raiser sees New York Golf Club, headlined by two-time major champion Xander Schauffele, take on The Bay Golf Club. 3 McIlroy will first be in action on matchday four when his Boston Common Golf side competes against Woods’ team. Norway’s Viktor Hovland and American LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau are the other two members of the top-10 not present in the league. Spain’s Jon Rahm had been slated to compete but withdrew last November, and the following month joined LIV Golf – none of whom’s players feature in TGL.

Woods, chasing his first PGA Tour win since his record-equaling 82nd triumph at the Zozo Championship in October 2019, said he was “excited” to compete in an Instagram post announcing his participation on Wednesday. CNN —American golfer Wyndham Clark was declared the winner of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am after just 54 holes on Sunday, as heavy storms over the Monterey Peninsula led organizers to end the tournament early. Clark’s historic round at the famous links course in California included two eagles and nine birdies, giving him a one-shot lead ahead of Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg. CNN —Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s high-tech indoor golf venture, the TGL, has been delayed by a year after the inflatable dome of its custom-built Florida venue deflated, organizers announced Monday. Organizers said the league’s 24 players, six team ownership groups and other key partners, including the PGA Tour, had been consulted ahead of the postponement. TGLThe venture is the brainchild of TMRW Sports, a company co-founded by Woods and McIlroy. Both players are set to compete in the league, for Jupiter Links Golf Club and Boston Common Golf respectively.
