CNN —For Donald Trump, every defeat is just the catalyst for his next battle. The Gaetz disaster suggests that despite his big election win, some laws of political gravity still apply to Trump. This may explain why two-and-a-half weeks into his transition, several of Trump’s Cabinet picks are embroiled in allegations of sexual misconduct, ethics or legal controversy. Like Gaetz, Hegseth was not prosecuted over the allegation and denies he did anything wrong. Plenty of presidents get a Cabinet pick knocked back and do just fine.

As head of the WWE, Linda McMahon oversaw its transformation from a wrestling entertainment company into a publicly traded media empire. He also would often film his sexual abuse, according to the filing. Both Linda and Vince McMahon were aware of Phillips’ abuse, the lawsuit alleges. As head of the WWE, McMahon oversaw its transformation from a small wrestling entertainment company into a publicly traded media empire. During Trump’s first campaign for president, McMahon donated more than $7 million to two pro-Trump super PACs, according to Open Secrets.

Johnson said he was methodical about the way he selected his roles, always following the mantra of "Audience first." Vince McMahon and the WWE have been accused of knowing about and failing to stop the sexual exploitation of young boys by a ringside announcer, in a lawsuit filed on behalf of five alleged victims Wednesday. NBC News has contacted the McMahons, TKO and the WWE for comment; none have so far responded or commented on the case publicly. The suit alleges that Phillips would abuse the claimants in his dressing room while filming it with a video camera. The suit accuses the McMahons of long knowing of Phillips’ “peculiar and unnatural interest” in young boys. "Thanks to the bravery of our clients, we finally have a chance to hold accountable those who allowed and enabled the open, rampant sexual abuse of these young boys," he said.

The US and Canada drive 70% of Netflix's revenue growth and are crucial for its future ad expansion. AdvertisementBy now, it's become a common refrain in Hollywood: Netflix has won the streaming wars. Amazon threw a wrench into Netflix's advertising ambitions by steamrolling into the market earlier this year. With subscriber growth potential limited in the US because Netflix is already quite saturated in the market, Netflix needs to ramp up ad revenue. While Netflix's ad tier growth is steadily adding inventory, those tech deals will take a couple of years to ramp up.

CNN —Neuroscientist Chris Nowinski has said he wants the NFL to investigate the apparent head injury suffered by Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen during Sunday’s defeat to the Houston Texans. Allen’s head struck the turf in the fourth quarter after being tackled and lay motionless before being rolled over by his teammates. The QB came off the field and was directed to the sideline medical tent, where doctors assess players’ injuries. After emerging from the blue tent, Allen appeared to be offered smelling salts, which make players feel more alert before going onto the field. Allen said in his postgame press conference that he “felt good enough to go back into the game” after the incident.
