REUTERS/Nick Carey Acquire Licensing RightsLONDON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - British electric truck maker Tevva has "re-engaged" with a number of possible merger partners following ElectraMeccanica's (SOLO.O) decision earlier this month to cancel their planned deal and said on Monday it has a number of trucks in production. The two companies announced their planned merger in August, giving Tevva access to U.S. production and targeting revenue of up to $1.5 billion in 2028, but Mesa, Arizona-based ElectraMeccanica terminated the agreement citing "failures by Tevva to disclose ... material information." In a statement it also said it had a number of fully electric 7.5 tonne trucks in production to hand over to customers. A few have begun bankruptcy proceedings, including Swedish-based electric truck maker Volta Trucks which filed for bankruptcy last week.

LONDON, March 8 (Reuters) - Volta Trucks, the electric-truck maker backed by billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli, is in advanced discussions to raise as much as 250 million euros ($263.58 million), its CEO told Reuters. Volta Trucks is gearing up to roll out its electric trucks, after delays in obtaining certification for its vehicles and constraints in sourcing supplies held up production, according to a company spokesperson. The company just months ago tapped investors for around 300 million euros in a deal that valued it at close to 600 million euros. Volta Trucks' existing backers include Kuwaiti supply-chain services provider Agility Public Warehousing Co (AGLT.KW), Bertarelli's family office B-Flexion, Swedish investor Byggmastare Anders J Ahlstrom (AJAb.ST) and U.S. hedge fund Luxor Capital. A spokesperson for B-Flexion said the investor remains "wholly committed" to Volta Trucks, but declined to comment further.

Gigafactories is a generic term referring to facilities that produce batteries for electric vehicles on a large scale. Under the deal, Siemens will become ACC's preferred supplier for automation, digitalisation and electrification technology. Terms of the partnership, which is part of the Siemens Xcelerator open digital platform launched earlier this year, have not been revealed. "ACC uses virtually the entire spectrum of Xcelerator - from factory construction to production automation to building services," Siemens managing board member Cedrik Neike told Reuters. Siemens on Thursday also announced a deal with electric vehicle company Volta Trucks to deliver electric charging infrastructure for truck customers, to help the transition to electrified vehicles.
