Private equity giant Blackstone will acquire the pet care app Rover in an all-cash deal valued at $2.3 billion, the companies announced Wednesday. Shares of Rover climbed about 28% on news of the deal, which will pay Rover shareholders $11 per share. Rover shares mostly bounced around under $7 each for most of the year before jumping earlier this month on a strong third-quarter earnings report. Rover was founded in 2011, connecting pet owners with care providers who provide boarding, in-home pet sitting and dog walking, among other services. One in four millennials moved to a different city in 2022, many for work or cost of living concerns. Nearly 17,300 millennials relocated to Cambridge in 2022, bringing the total percentage of millennials to 38% of the total population. Seattle and Sunnyvale, California, also saw comparable moves, as millennials who moved in 2022 made up about 12.5% of the total population for both cities. When looking at the top cities by percentage of total millennials compared to the total population, Jersey City, New Jersey, ranked first at 41.5%, followed by Seattle, Denver, and Austin. However, Port St. Lucie in Florida had the lowest rate of millennials moving in compared to the total population at 4.8%, followed by Brockton, Massachusetts.

SEATTLE (AP) — Denis Bouanga scored his fourth goal of the MLS Cup playoffs in the 30th minute, goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau made seven saves, and defending champion Los Angeles FC advanced to the Western Conference final with a 1-0 win over the Seattle Sounders on Sunday night.
