Yet Palantir’s top line is only expected to grow 16% this year, according to forecasts gathered by LSEG.
There’s also a risk that Palantir’s ability to secure government contracts, which account for more than half its top line, will be restrained by its politics.
For example, Palantir bought about $50 million of gold bars in 2021 to prepare for unpredictable “black swan” events.
Also sitting on Palantir’s balance sheet are stakes in targets of special purpose acquisition companies, which it bought in exchange for purchase orders.
It doesn’t take a wizard to see that in the eyes of investors Palantir is far too precious.
