Hong Kong/Beijing CNN —Jack Ma, the billionaire founder of Alibaba (BABA) and once one of China’s most prominent entrepreneurs, has made a rare public appearance in the country.
Ma visited the city of Hangzhou and was seen meeting with students and teachers at the Alibaba-funded Yungu School.
That intervention by regulators followed a speech from Ma in which he criticized China’s banks and financial regulators.
