The Paris-based group estimates that the recent 100% rise in seaborne freight rates could increase import price inflation across its 38 member countries by nearly 5 percentage points if they persist. That could add 0.4 percentage points to overall price rises after a year, the OECD said in its latest economic outlook. Clare Lombardelli, chief economist at the OECD, told CNBC on Monday that a sustained increase in inflation as a result of the latest crisis is a risk, but not the group's base case. "It's something we're watching closely ... we have seen an increase in shipping prices, if that were to continue for for an extended period, then that would feed through into consumer price inflation.

Joe Exotic of "Tiger King" fame is running a long-shot 2024 campaign as a libertarian. At press time, Exotic's 2024 campaign appeared to still need some staffers. Exotic listed several "celebrities and influencers" who he says have endorsed him, including a man named Seth Posey, whose occupation is listed only as "Joe's fiancé." Angela McArdle, chair of the Libertarian Party, slammed Exotic's campaign in an interview with TMZ on March 19. Exotic, McArdle, and Meester did not immediately respond to Insider's requests for comment outside regular business hours.

"Gossip Girl's" story seemed finished when the finale aired in 2012 — and the two-season reboot didn't add much. Blake Lively and Leighton Meester in "Gossip Girl." The CW"Gossip Girl" did not need a Max reboot 2021 — and apparently, the studio agreed because it got canceled after just two seasons in 2023. The questionable decision to make Dan "Lonely Boy" Humphrey the titular gossip aficionado made us question why there needed to be another Gossip Girl and a group of unlikable Upper East Siders — and I say this as someone who loved the original. The reboot's version of Gossip Girl — it was the teachers, for some reason?
