Maxwell House has several instant-coffee flavors, but I bought the original roast in the smallest size. Erin AjelloThe 2-ounce container of Maxwell House instant coffee said it would make 30 servings, and it only cost $3.19. Although the description said the coffee would be rich, I didn't find it that flavorful. I originally made a cup with the directed coffee-to-water ratio, which was fine but kind of weak. Then I added an extra teaspoon of the coffee to try to get more of the flavor.

It's made by frothing nonfat cold milk and is added to iced drinks like cold brews. While some drinks come with cold foam on top as standard, such as some of its flavored cold brews, customers can opt to add it to other cold drinks for $1.25. Currently there are six flavors of cold foam available – chocolate cream, cinnamon sweet cream, matcha cream, salted caramel cream, vanilla sweet cream, and white chocolate macadamia cream. Tim Hortons in the US, for example, sells set chilled drinks with cold foam and also has the option for customers to add it to some of its other cold drinks. Dunkin' started selling sweet cold foam in February 2021, and has since launched it in a number of time-limited flavors including brown sugar and salted caramel.

Kraft Heinz 's North American president will become CEO of the food giant next year, the company announced Monday. Carlos Abrams-Rivera will take the reins Jan. 1 from Miguel Patricio, who has led Kraft Heinz since 2019. Kraft Heinz shares have fallen 15% this year, dragging its market value down to $42.2 billion. "Since joining Kraft Heinz in 2020, [Carlos] has consistently delivered strong results in the North American retail and Away From Home businesses," Patricio said in a statement. Ahead of the CEO transition Jan. 1, Abrams-Rivera will become president of Kraft Heinz, adding new responsibilities to his current role.

Half of Gen Z consumers own a drip coffee brewer, compared to 60% of all coffee consumers, Mintel said. Younger consumers view cold coffee beverages as more refreshing, better tasting and more of a treat than hot coffee, the surveys show. Iced macchiato, iced specialty tea, iced espresso and iced americano have also ranked among the fastest-growing non-alcoholic drinks on menus tracked by Technomic.

At 131 years old, Maxwell House is no spring chicken, and most of its loyal drinkers aren't either. But Kraft Heinz is looking to revive the coffee brand by appealing to younger consumers with its new iced latte with foam, its first product launch in nearly a decade. Even within the instant coffee segment, Maxwell House ranks third, trailing Nestle's Nescafe and JM Smuckers' Folgers in U.S. market share, according to Euromonitor International data. But with its new Iced Latte with Foam, Maxwell House hopes to bridge that gap and win over new customers. The iced latte with foam is available nationwide at major retailers and on Amazon and comes in three flavors: vanilla, hazelnut and caramel.
