Leonard has not practiced with or played in any games for the Clippers during the preseason. Since then, his right knee has been a recurring issue. In 2023, Leonard missed the final three games of the Clippers’ first-round loss to the Phoenix Suns after tearing the meniscus in his right knee. CNN —Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard will miss the rest of the preseason due to inflammation in his right knee, head coach Ty Lue said on Monday. Leonard, a two-time NBA champion, is yet to play for the Clippers this preseason and will sit out the team’s final warmup game against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday. Lue said Leonard would “continue to keep rehabbing” his knee this week, according to Reuters. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported last month that Leonard underwent a procedure on his right knee during the offseason. Last week, Lue said he was “not sure” if Leonard would be able to play against Phoenix.

CNN —USA Basketball unveiled the player roster Wednesday for the men’s team that will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The team will be anchored by Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, making his fourth appearance after skipping the past two Olympics.
