CNN is reporting only a small portion of Robinson’s comments on the website given their graphic nature. Many of Robinson’s comments on Nude Africa stand in contrast to his public stances on issues such as abortion and transgender rights. I sat there for about an hour and watched as several girls came in and showered,” Robinson wrote on Nude Africa. Writing in a forum discussing Black Republicans in October 2010, Robinson stated unprovoked: “I’m a black NAZI!”That same month, Robinson wrote in another post that he supported the return of slavery. Robinson’s comments on Nude Africa often frequently contained derogatory and racial slurs directed at Black, Jewish and Muslim people.

Austin has been my home for more than 60 years — minus the time spent following around my military husband. Austin just isn't what it used to beMy family and I moved to Austin in 1963. In 2019, Urias-Roy and her husband started URATX, a delivery service based in Austin that uses independent contractors for large food deliveries, such as catering orders. The problem these stores had was that they were getting a lot of business orders, but drivers weren't equipped to handle it. That basically allowed me to start a delivery business instead of working as a contractor for the big apps or local delivery services. It's lower now though because we recently lost our biggest partnership with a major catering delivery company. AdvertisementAnd so the best thing about it is that I don't have drivers confronting restaurants about tips, I don't have drivers confronting clients begging for tips.

Inflation is cooling overall, but food prices have been more stubborn. I went to three stores to see where I could find the best prices for my family of four. Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said food prices had not recovered in 2023 as much as other areas, during an interview with CNBC's "Squawk on the Street" on December 6. Meanwhile, HEB and Walmart were nearly identical, at about $73, and several items were priced precisely the same. AdvertisementHere's how some of the grocery prices compare at the three stores.

Landing Pilgrims Plymouth Massachusetts December 22nd 1620H ere beginneth the chronicle of those memorable circumstances of the year 1620, as recorded by Nathaniel Morton , keeper of the records of Plymouth Colony, based on the account of William Bradford , sometime governor thereof:So they left that goodly and pleasant city of Leyden, which had been their resting-place for above eleven years, but they knew that they were pilgrims and strangers here below, and looked not much on these things, but lifted up their eyes to Heaven, their dearest country, where God hath prepared for them a city (Heb. XI, 16), and therein quieted their spirits.

A voluntary recall of frozen strawberries has been expanded as the Food and Drug Administration has linked more retailers to a string of nine hepatitis A cases that date back to last year. On Monday, the Willamette Valley Fruit Company of Salem, Ore., announced the recall of frozen strawberries that are sold at Walmart, Costco, and HEB stores under the brand names Great Value at Walmart and Rader Farms Organic at Costco and HEB. “Consumers, restaurants, and retailers should not sell, serve, or eat recalled frozen strawberries,” the F.D.A. investigation has traced hepatitis A infections to frozen organic strawberries imported from Baja California, Mexico, and reported the first five cases of hepatitis A linked to them in March. The strain of hepatitis A in those cases was genetically identical to one that caused an outbreak of hepatitis A infections in 2022, which was also linked to fresh organic strawberries imported from Baja California, Mexico.

Favor, a women-focused telehealth company that rebranded last year from the Pill Club, is reverting back to its old name after an unfavorable initial ruling in a trademark lawsuit. The telehealth company last March changed its name to Favor from the Pill Club in a bid to communicate the breadth of its services beyond contraception, Chief Executive Liz Meyerdirk said. The judge ordered the telehealth company to cease using the Favor mark until a final judgment could be reached. NeighborFavor described 11 instances in which Hey Favor’s customers had contacted the delivery company in error. Hey Favor, which rebranded from the Pill Club months before the Supreme Court overturned Roe.
The CEOs of Kroger and Albertsons say their proposed merger will help them defend against Amazon. But Amazon's market share is a fraction of larger players, including both Kroger and Albertsons. But market share data suggests that a combined Kroger and Albertsons would be much larger by sales than Amazon the day the merger takes place. For all of its moves in grocery, Amazon commanded just 1.2% of sales, according to Euromonitor. The entire US grocery market represented $1.27 billion in sales last year, according to Euromonitor.
E-commerce sales through Walmart's Sam's Club grew by 5.5%. Such sales grew by 80.7% at Costco and by 9.3% at the Texas-based chain HEB. "They have brands that they like, and if they offer that delivery service, they're very likely to go to that brand." Sam's Club, for instance, welcomed Instacart's shoppers to its stores in the US in 2018. Under that service, orders are picked by Sam's Club employees and delivered to customers using the retailer's delivery partners.
Instacart's sales grew slower than those of delivery options offered by retailers it works with.
