Comcast had announced during its quarterly earnings call in October that it was considering spinning off its cable networks. Bravo will remain part of Comcast’s NBCUniversal because its content is heavily featured on Peacock, CNBC reported. Comcast Chairman and CEO Brian Roberts will have a voting position in the new entity, but he won't be on the board of directors, CNBC reported. Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of defense and a former Fox News host, was investigated in 2017 over "an alleged sexual assault" at a California hotel that was hosting a gathering of Republican women, police said Friday. The National Federation of Republican Women was holding a convention at the hotel at the time, according to the organization's website. Fox News, the National Federation of Republican Women and Hyatt Regency hotels did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Hegseth's last day at Fox News was Tuesday, the day of Trump’s announcement, the network said earlier. He began working at Fox News in 2014 and began co-hosting “Fox & Friends Weekend” in 2017.

Police in California investigated Fox News host Pete Hegseth — who was picked this week by President-elect Donald Trump to be the next Defense Department secretary — in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a hotel in 2017, officials said. Hegseth, 44, was not charged after the probe that year by the Monterey Police Department. The spokesperson said the full police report on the alleged incident is exempt from public disclosure. Hegseth's attorney, Timothy Parlatore told CNBC, "The police department confirmed last night that it was fully investigated and he was cleared."
