They were moved straight to our shiny new storage unit, and the plan was to move them into our temporary rental a few weeks later. Wouldn't it be better to show our apartment if we didn't have boxes in the way and there was less clutter everywhere? We decided to leave the boxes in the storage unit for the moment.
