CNN —Tottenham Hotspur player Rodrigo Bentancur has been given a seven-match domestic suspension and fined around $126,000 (£100,000) for a comment he made in an interview about teammate Son Heung-min. According to the FA, the midfielder acted in “an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words and/or brought the game into disrepute” with the comment, which was judged to be an “aggravated breach” of FA regulations because it made reference to Son’s ethnicity. In June, soon after the video clip was circulated online, Son said that Bentancur had apologized for making a “mistake,” adding that his teammate “would not mean to ever intentionally say something offensive. He will be eligible to play again against Nottingham Forest on December 26, as well as in Europa League games. The 27-year-old has made 14 appearances for Tottenham this season, scoring in the club’s 2-1 defeat against Ipswich on November 10.

Extra virgin olive oil prices in Spain's Andalusia stood at 6 euros ($6.33) per kilogram as of Nov. 6, according to Expana, an agricultural and food-focused market intelligence firm. Dutch police said they took away more than 300 pro-Palestinian protesters who ignored a ban on demonstrations in Amsterdam on Sunday and detained 50 more following clashes involving Israeli soccer fans last week. In the Netherlands, protest organizers said in a message on Instagram that they were outraged by the “framing” of unrest around the match as antisemitic and called the protest ban draconian. Video showed Maccabi fans chanting anti-Arab slogans and pulling down Palestinian flags in the lead-up to the game. A pro-Palestinian demonstration on the sideline of the UEFA Europa League football match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv, in Amsterdam on Nov. 7. Police said on Sunday that they would also investigate footage showing Maccabi fans using violence, though a police spokesperson could not immediately confirm which footage exactly would be part of the investigation.

CNN —Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman wants Pershing Square Holdings and Universal Music Group out of Euronext Amsterdam following attacks this week on Israeli soccer fans in the Dutch capital. In the post, he said that moving Pershing Square would save money and improve liquidity for its shareholders. The move for Universal Music Group, where Ackman is a board member, was also influenced by the attacks in Amsterdam. He wrote that Pershing Square has contractual rights to help move Universal Music Group from its Amsterdam headquarters and stock exchange. CNN —Israeli soccer fans were attacked in a “serious incident of violence in Amsterdam” overnight into Friday, Israeli authorities said, with the government saying it was sending planes to evacuate affected citizens. Social media video shared by the embassy showed videos of what it said was violence against Maccabi fans. Israeli foreign minister Gideon Sa’ar said 10 citizens were injured and advised citizens to stay in their hotels. Maccabi fans had been in the Dutch capital ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League game against Ajax. The police also said a demonstration was planned on Thursday near the stadium ahead of the soccer match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

19-year-old Italian skier Matilde Lorenzi died after a crash during a training session in northern Italy, the country's defense ministry announced on Tuesday. The "promising Italian skier" fell while skiing on the Grawand G1 slope in Val Senales, a valley in northern Italy’s South Tyrol province, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation said in a statement. "The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) extends its deepest condolences following the tragic loss of Matilde Lorenzi," they said. Many former Olympic skiers, like Italian Olympic skier Luca De Aliprandini, Spanish Olympic skier Juan del Campo and Swiss Olympic skier Michelle Gisin took to the comments of the FIS Instagram post to pay their own respects to Lorenzi. There, animals develop symbiotic relationships with bacteria that use chemical reactions to produce sugars necessary for life beyond the reach of sunlight.
