In addition to a quick shot of Beyoncé’s “Barb Wire” gun firing to show the word, “Vote,” the music video also ends with “Happy Beylloween,” seemingly a reference to Halloween, which occurred just days before the release of the video. The music needed space to breathe on its own.”She added that music videos can sometimes take away from a song. “Sometimes a visual can be a distraction from the quality of the voice and the music,” she said. The music is enough.”She also continued on her mantra of “You are the visual, baby,” seen on her “Renaissance World Tour” and in the accompanying concert film. Levi Strauss CEO Michelle Gass told CNBC's Jim Cramer on Wednesday how the denim retailer will benefit from its partnership with Beyoncé, saying the ads could help boost sales of women's clothing. "Now you bring Beyoncé into the ecosystem, you know, we think we're just set up for the long term really, really well." The collaboration comes after Beyoncé released her newest album, "Cowboy Carter," in the spring that featured a track called "LEVII'S JEANS." She claimed wholesale, a large part of Levi's business in Mexico, was down because one of the company's "key customers" had a cybersecurity breach that impacted shipping. Gass also said that the Dockers brand has "underperformed for some time," and Levi's intends to sell the business.

Back in April, "A Bar Song" made history when it replaced Beyoncé's "Texas Hold 'Em" atop Billboard's Hot Country Songs. "Cowboy Carter" made chart history and inspired thoughtful conversations about systemic racism in the music industry. (As Billboard reported, Beyoncé's team did not need to submit "Cowboy Carter" in order for the album to be eligible. And that project changed a lot of people's lives, mine included," Shaboozey said of "Cowboy Carter." However, experts say there is more to Beyoncé’s snub than the industry’s longtime erasure of Black artists’ contributions to country music. In contrast, rapper Post Malone made his first foray into country music this year and opted for a more mainstream country music sound, tapping Nashville giants to assist in his project. As one of the largest pop stars in the world, her career is not dependent on Nashville or the Country Music Association, which runs the CMA Awards. Neither Beyoncé nor the Country Music Association responded to a request for comment on the matter. The CMA Awards snub has opened up a dialogue about where the country music industry can go from here.
