In my nearly six years with the company, I worked in almost all of the Apple Store locations in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. Launch day preparations began a week ahead. They wanted to keep launch day special, with first reactions being from actual customers instead of Apple employees. Pretty much everyone was a salesperson on launch day. AdvertisementAnd then there were those who came in after launch day by accident — they were more interested in testing out the phones to see what they were all about.

New York CNN —Apple Store workers in Towson, Maryland, the first of the tech giant’s retail employees to unionize, made history again by voting late Saturday in favor of authorizing a strike. “We deeply value our team members and we’re proud to provide them with industry leading compensation and exceptional benefits.”The union at the Towson store has not disclosed what date members would strike. Apple employees at the Mall at Short Hills store in New Jersey voted against unionizing on Saturday, according to Bloomberg. In February, Apple said it expected sales similar to last year's $94.84 billion during the same period and flat iPhone sales. In the December quarter, sales dropped 13% in Greater China, which includes Hong Kong and Taiwan. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $15.25 billion in China regional sales, which would be a 14% year-over-year decline. The company sees "incredible breakthrough potential for generative AI, which is why we're currently investing significantly in this area," Cook said at Apple's annual shareholder meeting, which was held virtually. He also reframed several announced Apple products as "AI-powered," to emphasize that the company has been working on the technology for years. Current features that use Apple's AI technology include the Vision Pro's hand-tracking tool and Apple Watch's heart rate alerts, Cook said. At the meeting, Cook was not asked about the Apple Car project, which he'd previously called the "mother of all AI projects." The remarks came after Apple shareholders rejected a proposal that would compel the company to produce a report on AI risks.

Apple iPhone 15 series devices are displayed for sale at The Grove Apple retail store on release day in Los Angeles, California, on September 22, 2023. The tax case against Apple was part of EU antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager's crackdown against deals between multinationals and EU countries which regulators saw as unfair state aid. The General Court in 2020 upheld Apple's challenge, saying that regulators had not met the legal standard to show Apple had enjoyed an unfair advantage. Advocate General Giovanni Pitruzzella at the EU Court of Justice (CJEU) said CJEU judges should set aside the General Court ruling and refer the case back to the lower tribunal.
