Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani claimed in court papers this week that his former interpreter is in “wrongful possession” of valuable baseball cards that rightfully belong to him. Ohtani is seeking to recover $325,000 worth of baseball cards that he claims onetime assistant Ippei Mizuhara improperly bought earlier this year, according to a U.S. district court filing by the player and his attorney, Blair Berk. Some of those stolen funds were used on collectibles, Ohtani and his lawyer said in a federal court filing on Tuesday. BEIRUT — Islamist rebels breached neighborhoods in Syria’s second-largest city of Aleppo and clashed with government military forces after detonating two car bombs Friday. The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights, the monitoring organization, said fierce clashes were underway between the attacking insurgents and regime troops. Syrian armed forces were repelling attacks, the Syrian Defense ministry said Friday, adding government forces involved in combat operations were able to regain control over some areas. "Our armed forces have inflicted heavy losses on the attacking organizations, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries among the terrorists," Syria's general command of the army and armed forces said in a statement translated by NBC News. The Syrian civil war started in early 2011 with a wave of protests against the authoritarian rule of President Bashar al-Assad.

CNN —In a single post, the president-elect told the world what the end of the Ukraine war might look like. Kellogg, Trump’s 80-year-old former national security advisor, has laid out his peace plan in some detail, writing for the America First policy institute in April. Kellogg says more weapons should have been given before the Russian invasion, and immediately afterwards, to enable Ukraine to win. But that’s when the plan – which CNN has reported that Trump’s soon-to-be national security adviser is considering - stops being to Ukraine’s liking. The plan notes the United States manufactures 14,000 155 artillery rounds a month, which Ukraine can use up in just 48 hours.

It’s misinformation about autism and mass injury that doctors and public health officials have disproven over and over again. Less attention has focused on the CDC, a public health agency Kennedy has long vilified in speeches and writings. In his 2017 speech, Kennedy criticized ACIP as a group of self-interested actors who base decisions on financial gain instead of public health. “The people who are on ACIP are not public health advocates,” he said. “We would know the answer to that question if we were given access to the vaccine safety database, but they’ve hidden it,” Kennedy said.

By providing Ukraine with ATACMS but only allowing it to strike parts of Ukraine occupied by Russia, “we sent Russia the message: ‘You know what?
