There’s no clear consensus on how often one should practice gratitude, Simon-Thomas said. Having more gratitude has also been linked to being more optimistic in general, and people who express higher levels of gratitude tend to look more for the good in life, Watkins added.

Shares of Dutch food delivery marketplace Just Eat Takeaway.com could more than double over the next 12 months, according to Jefferies analysts. Jefferies remains bullish on Just Eat, even as the company's U.S. business Grubhub has faced the pressures of government price controls imposed on restaurants since the Covid-19 pandemic. Just Eat expects a $100 million EBITDA impact from the amending of the fee caps, the Jefferies note reported. Shares of the delivery firm have also moved away from their high during the Covid pandemic, and are now down 18.1% year-to-date and 22.5% in the last 12 months. CNN —China and Belarus announced they were holding joint military training exercises just miles from the border of Poland – a NATO and European Union member. Belarus’ Ministry of Defense said troops from China’s People’s Liberation Army arrived in Belarus over the weekend. The exercises are taking place near the Belarus city of Brest on the Belarus-Poland border which is around 130 miles from the Polish capital of Warsaw and some 40 miles from Minsk’s border with Ukraine. Moscow partly used Belarus as a launching pad for the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 after amassing troops on the Ukrainian border during what it said were joint military exercises. The Chinese troops arrived in Belarus just days after that country joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Thursday.

The Trump campaign in a press release Monday afternoon touted the new document as "President Donald J. Trump's 2024 Republican Party Platform." The platform now begins with language mirroring a Trump campaign press release, including the presumptive nominee's "Make America Great Again" and "America First" slogans. The GOP also departs from its old platform on Social Security and Medicare. CNN —French rugby player Melvyn Jaminet has left the team’s tour of Argentina after he was suspended for using a racist remark in a video posted on his social media accounts. The French Rugby Federation (FFR) said in a statement that it “condemns in the strongest terms” the comments made by Jaminet, while also announcing that the full-back has been suspended from the tour of Argentina. “Melvyn Jaminet had been immediately sidelined and has left the French team currently in Argentina,” said the FFR. Jaminet has been a regular in the French national team since making his debut in 2021. According to a post on the FFR’s Instagram account, the team arrived in Argentina in late June.
