After reading the particulars one wonders whether that title is too optimistic. One issue that probably hasn’t received enough attention is that even if politicians can manage to force all of humanity out of cars with internal combustion engines, it will still be extremely hard to meet political emissions targets unless the surviving electric vehicles are small and scarce. What also may not be appreciated given all the alleged innovation surrounding EVs is that production of the minerals needed to make them may become less environmentally friendly, not more.

"There is no country, none, that presents a broader, more comprehensive threat to our ideas our innovation our economic security than the Chinese government and the Chinese Communist Party," Wray testified. Wray said that Americans "would be shocked to hear" that virtually all companies doing business in China are required to allow those cells. Wray did not name specific companies who have been required to house CCP cells in China. It's not the first time Wray has raised concerns about Beijing's alleged efforts to enforce communist political views within foreign companies operating in China. "And it doesn't just apply to Chinese companies; it applies to foreign companies if they get to a certain size in China, as well," Wray told CNBC.

CNN —House Republicans unloaded a barrage of criticism directed toward FBI Director Christopher Wray Wednesday, outlining a litany of complaints while Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee. Chairman Jim Jordan opened the hearing launching into a wide array of attacks on the FBI. “House Republicans will attack the FBI for having had the audacity to treat Donald Trump like any other citizen. FBI Director Christopher Wray is sworn in prior to testifying before a House Judiciary Committee hearing. “We did stand up a whole dedicated unit to focus on threats to FBI, individuals, FBI employees and FBI facilities because of the uptick that we saw over that time period,” Wray said.

Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb believes that he may have found alien technology. His team found 10 tiny spheres from a meteor that landed off the coast of Papua New Guinea in 2014. The US Space Command said it was "99.999%" certain that the fragments came from another solar system, per CBS. "They will exit the solar system in 10,000 years — just imagine them colliding with another planet far away a billion years from now," he said. "It will take us tens of thousands of years to exit our solar system with our current spacecraft to another star," the astrophysicist added.

Most Wall Street investors believe the best way to take advantage of the artificial intelligence boom is to buy Big Tech stocks, according to the new CNBC Delivering Alpha investor survey. Forty-seven percent of respondents said big-cap tech companies are the best way to invest in AI, while 37% believe there's too much hype around the space. The chipmaker has been at the center of an AI craze on Wall Street. Investors piled into the AI enabler after the company recently made a shockingly strong forecast of future demand.
