In a statement, a spokesperson for the city government of Monterey, California, said its police department had investigated “an alleged sexual assault” involving Hegseth, a Fox News host and Army National Guard veteran. Visits and sales took a nosedive in October after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration said that fresh slivered onions served on the Quarter Pounders were the likely source of an E. coli outbreak. More than 100 people got sick across 14 states and several lawsuits have been filed against the chain. McDonald’s has said recent tests showed no E. coli in its food, and in the memo noted its Quarter Pounder burgers topped with slivered onions are now back on menus nationwide.

It’s Tyson’s first sanctioned professional match since 2005. Lewis largely controlled the fight, as the champion survived Tyson’s round one onslaught and controlled the pace with strong jabs. Increasing your physical activity levels could extend your life by several years, a new study has found. skynesher/E+/Getty ImagesMany studies have examined the connections between physical activity and longevity. The activity levels in that study were measured with accelerometers — wearable activity-tracking devices. Total activity levels in the lowest quartile were equivalent to walking for 49 minutes at roughly 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) per hour daily. Total activity levels in the second-, third- and fourth-highest quartiles were equivalent to 78, 105 and 160 minutes, respectively.

At 50, Jennie Young started using several dating apps and felt that they were all toxic. The Burned Haystack Dating Method began as an academic project and now has a Facebook group with over 128,000 members. In February 2023, she started a Facebook group for the Burned Haystack Dating Method. Articles from 2024 alone included: "It's Not You: Dating Apps are Getting Worse" in The New York Times; "America is Sick of Swiping: Dating Apps are Falling Back to Earth" in The Atlantic; and "Why Gen Z is Ditching Dating Apps" in Time. The project evolved into a new dating method that I named the Burned Haystack Dating Method.
