The average federal fine for a US employer, when a worker dies from heat-related illness, is $8,539.98. The three-year average of heat-related worker deaths has doubled since 1990, a 2021 report from NPR and Columbia Journalism Investigations revealed. According to federal data reported between 2017 and 2022, the Department of Labor fines businesses governed by federal OSHA regulations an average of just $8,539.98 if an employee dies because of heat-related illness. Gleason also noted that federal OSHA fines for worker deaths are significantly smaller than that of other federal agencies. "The average Environmental Protection Agency penalty is 10 times that of federal OSHA for a worker that dies," Gleason said.

The state's privatisation agency said it would sell 100% of Israel Post Co. to an investor or group of investors. In addition to traditional mail and fast delivery services, Israel Post includes the Postal Bank, which has some 1 million active customers. Israel Post also owns 278 real estate assets valued at around 600 million shekels ($162 million), it said. In the first quarter, the company posted adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 67 million shekels and it estimated adjusted EBITDA of 235 million shekels in 2023 after a 36 million shekel loss in 2022.

FRANKFURT, July 3 (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE) on Monday said that it had completed a fourth and final phase of a years-long technology integration process with Postbank. Germany's largest bank said it would result in cost savings in 2023 and 2024, with annual savings of 300 million euros ($326.52 million) from 2025. Germany's largest bank began acquiring Postbank, with its millions of clients and roots in the country's postal system, in 2008 during the global financial crisis, but it has struggled to complete its integration. Some customers did not have access to all services over the weekend as the bank completed the merger of its IT platforms with Postbank customers. Deutsche will now begin to decommission Postbank hardware and software, contributing to the cost savings.
