The positive phase three trial data on lenacapavir sets the stage for likely approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for HIV prevention. The company said 99.9% of participants who received lenacapavir did not acquire HIV, with two cases among 2,180 people. CNN —Four years ago, North Carolina voters handed Democrats one of the party’s toughest losses and one of its most consequential wins. The race to succeed the term-limited Cooper, however, seems to be leaning toward the Democratic nominee, North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein. But North Carolina is still a purple state with a history of elections decided by razor-thin margins.
