DALLAS — Newly emerged film footage of President John F. Kennedy’s motorcade speeding down a Dallas freeway toward a hospital after he was fatally wounded sold at auction Saturday for $137,500. The auction house said the buyer wishes to remain anonymous. The film then picks up after Kennedy has been shot, with Carpenter rolling as the motorcade roars down Interstate 35. Projecting it onto his bedroom wall around 2010, gates was at first underwhelmed by the footage from Lemmon Avenue. The auction house has released still photos from the portion of the film showing the race down I-35, but it is not publicly releasing video of that part.

SpaceX is set to launch two new crew members to the International Space Station on Saturday, in a capsule that will eventually bring home two NASA astronauts who flew to orbit on Boeing’s problem-plagued Starliner spacecraft. WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Friday rejected independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s attempt to appear on New York’s general election ballot. Kennedy, who has dropped his own presidential campaign and endorsed Republican nominee Donald Trump, is fighting to appear on ballots in certain states over Democratic opposition. Kennedy’s lawyers said a state court was wrong in concluding that he could not appear on the ballot because of a dispute over his place of residence. Kennedy lives in California but had included a New York address as his residence when circulating a petition to appear on the ballot. After losing in state court, Kennedy filed an emergency application in federal court, but lost at both the district court and appeals court levels before turning to the Supreme Court.

An Idaho man has been charged with threatening to kill Donald Trump in phone calls made to the former president’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, according to court documents. Warren Jones Crazybull, 64, of Sandpoint, made at least nine threatening phone calls to Trump’s home on July 31, according to a criminal complaint and affidavit that was first reported Monday by Forbes. Mar-a-Lago security told the Secret Service that eight additional phone calls making threats were received from the same number, the court documents said. "There have been two heinous assassination attempts on President Trump, and their violent rhetoric are directly to blame." The Secret Service determined his location using T-Mobile phone data, which located him in Montana, according to the filing.

CNN —Israel’s military has raided and ordered the closure of Al Jazeera’s office in Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, the network said. Al Jazeera broadcast live footage early on Sunday of Israeli soldiers entering its offices in Ramallah, capturing the reactions of bureau chief Walid Omary and staff members live on air. Video broadcast by Al Jazeera showed one soldier informing Omary of a military order to close Al Jazeera’s office for 45 days. Shortly after, as Israeli soldiers approached Omary, the live video feed was cut, and Omary could be heard saying that soldiers had taken the camera and broadcast equipment the team had been using. CNN has contacted Al Jazeera and the Israeli military for comment.
