But what if you paid extra for a window seat or extra legroom? There's a heated discussion doing the rounds on social media about when you should switch seats, and under what circumstances you should refuse. Proceed with cautionSome travelers have been sharing their experiences on social media, saying that caution should be exercised when someone asks to switch seats because people "don't always have the best intentions." Airlines offer options to choose seats in advance, so it's good practice for passengers to get in the habit of planning ahead. Meanwhile, meme stock champion Keith Gill hosted his first livestream in a few years Friday. He revealed that he didn't have any institutional backers and the GameStop positions he had shared in screenshots were his only bets. The video game company's stock declined to just below $24 apiece on Monday after falling nearly 40% on Friday alone. GameStop shares fell more than 16% on Monday as the meme stock extended Friday's sell-off sparked by a dismal earnings report and a uninspiring livestream from Roaring Kitty. The analyst thinks that any boost GameStop got from Gill could turn out to be short-lived.

The departure of the company’s chief product officer adds to a “wall of worry” Raymond James analysts said. Choe joined Lululemon more than seven years ago and became chief product officer in 2018, according to her LinkedIn. “I think that there’s a lot of people out there who believe that she was the person behind the scenes and was the most instrumental to Lululemon’s success,” Nikic said. Lulu has been “hyper aware” of dupe culture, Nikki Neuburger, then its Chief Brand Officer, previously said in an interview with CNN Business. However, Lululemon wasn’t stocked enough in these smaller sizes, which could have led these younger shoppers to competitors, Nikic said.

London CNN —Shares in GameStop shot up almost 73% in pre-market trade Monday as the renewed frenzy around meme stocks shows little sign of abating. The video game retailer’s stock soared hours after a Reddit post by stocks influencer Keith Gill — also known as “Roaring Kitty” — revealed that he had bought nearly $116 million worth of the stock. The post was the first on Gill’s Reddit account in more than three years, when social media-fueled hype around GameStop (GME) shares was in full swing. Meme stocks are shares that swing wildly in value based on their popularity among trader communities on social media rather than the companies’ fundamental characteristics. He also said he did not set out to help stoke the GameStop frenzy and instead believed the stock offered an attractive opportunity for investors.

Earlier this year, I wrote about a friend who was attacked and thrown to the ground on a September afternoon, while she was walking toward Borough Hall in Brooklyn to go to the post office. She was on the phone with her mother when a man, whose erratic behavior she had noticed in the distance, pushed her into the street, leaving her with bruises, a chipped tooth and fear new to her after decades of living in New York. At the time, it did not seem as though the assault might be part of a dark emerging trend. But the incident would presage many others — instances in which women in New York were randomly punched on the street in the middle of the day. A few days before the announcement, a 9-year-old girl standing with her mother was punched in the face by a man at Grand Central Station.

I lost my hair. Then I found myself.

For more than a year, I had been dealing with my progressive hair loss and clamoring for some sort of control. I launched into the story of my hair loss journey, attempting to convey the stress and uncertainty that had defined the past year. I purchased a long brown human hair wig that initially looked natural in the shop lighting. I learned I had a lot to learn; there was a whole "wearing hair" subculture with special lingo that I knew nothing about. I accepted that I have hair loss and I'm aging, and one day, I'll look in the mirror, and it won't be just my hair that's changed.

Last year, Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that she eats an anti-inflammatory diet after suffering from long COVID. Eating an anti-inflammatory diet — meaning mostly fresh or minimally processed foods and minimal highly processed foods — can help reduce inflammation, according to the Cleveland Clinic. "Mushrooms contain multiple natural anti-inflammatory compounds, including essential vitamins and minerals, as well as numerous anti-inflammatory metabolites," Kodamala said. "Turmeric contains the active ingredient curcumin, which is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, making it a real powerhouse to include in your diet," she said. Nuts may also have anti-inflammatory properties, according to a 2023 review, and so might ginger, according to a 2022 review — but more research is needed on both.

False reports about the jury instructions in former President Donald Trump's hush money trial have been spreading across right-wing media, leading to threats against the judge overseeing the case. Those "unlawful means" aren't charges themselves and would not result in separate convictions, so jurors do not have to unanimously agree on them. The jury instruction was complex and nuanced and some right-wing accounts ran with false reports.
