Given the sheer volume of enemy drones, helicopters have joined the counter-drone fight. In Ukraine and Israel, helicopters of all kinds are hunting down drones. In Ukraine, a huge country compared to Israel, helicopters are a means to shield its airspace against large drone salvos. Advertisement"Given the Russian Shaheds' slow and low flight pattern, rotary aircraft can easily chase and destroy them," Borsari said. Modifications of this kind could make helicopters more effective drone hunters in the future, supplementing other ground- and air-based systems.

Trump's plan to transform federal land into housing will be costly, given minimal existing infrastructure, UBS says. Those policies, plus a set of potentially inflationary proposals, could drive up both home prices and mortgage rates, they say. Trump's plan to transform federal land into more housing seems particularly challenged, the analysts say. The higher rates will likely continue the housing lock-in effect, where existing homeowners prefer to remain locked in at their current lower rates. In prepared remarks on Thursday, Fed Chair Jerome Powell said the US is in no hurry to cut rates, signaling that mortgage rates could stay higher for longer.

The Quest to Build a Star on Earth Start-ups say we’re closer than ever to near-limitless, zero-carbon energy from fusion. Today’s fusion start-ups aren’t just preparing for this moment in the lab. Such advances helped the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory produce more fusion energy than the energy in the incoming laser beams, for the briefest of moments, in 2022. They also helped European researchers generate record amounts of fusion energy at a facility in Britain last year. What worries researchers is how much some fusion start-ups are promising, and how soon.

Whatever time I'm getting back from leveraging AI, I'm using it for some other work. Once the developers start writing code for these projects and do the actual work, that's where we leverage AI. Even with vaccine skeptic Robert F. "Ultimately, if RFK dons jackboots and demands that we don't have vaccines or eat junk food, it probably won't matter," he said. At the same time, Cramer added, Kennedy has taken a hard stance against processed food.
