MILAN, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Italy's top soccer league Serie A said on Monday it had awarded commercial broadcaster MFE-MediaForEurope <MFEB.MI> the domestic TV rights for the next three seasons of the Italian Cup competition. The deal also includes the right to screen the Italian Super Cup which has been revamped earlier this year as a four-team competition rather than being a match between the winners of Serie A and the Italian Cup. That brings the total value of the deal, which covers the three seasons until 2026-27, to around 168 million euros. The company, which is controlled by the family of late media tycoon Silvio Berlusconi, is the current holder of the Italian Cup and Super Cup domestic TV rights, under a three-year contract expiring in June and worth some 145 million euros. GM said it was disappointed by the UAW strike at Spring Hill and that it still seeks "to reach an agreement as quickly as possible." Spring Hill Manufacturing, an assembly and propulsion plant, is the largest GM facility in North America with nearly 4,000 total employees. A lengthy Spring Hill strike could greatly increase the financial pain for GM, which said in a filing earlier this week that strike costs had risen to $400 million a week. JERUSALEM, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Israel's Energy Ministry said on Sunday it had awarded 12 licenses to six companies to explore for natural gas off the country's Mediterranean coast, aiming to create more competition and diversify suppliers. It said that one group that includes ENI (ENI.MI), Dana Petroleum and Ratio Energies (RATIp.TA) will explore in an area west of the massive Leviathan field, which supplies Israel with gas and is also used for export. Another group comprised of BP (BP.L) Socar (403550.KS) and NewMed (NWMDp.TA) will explore north of the Leviathan, the ministry said. "The winning companies have committed to unprecedented investment in natural gas exploration over the next three years, which would hopefully result in the discovery of new natural gas reservoirs," said Energy Minister Israel Katz. It is not clear what derailed GM and the UAW's progress toward an agreement patterned after earlier deals at Ford and Chrysler-owner Stellantis (STLAM.MI). Pension costs and issues involving the use of temporary workers were among the points of contention at GM, sources said. GM said it was disappointed by the UAW decision to strike Spring Hill. Last month, UAW workers at Mack Truck's U.S. operations overwhelmingly rejected a deal recommended by Fain. In 2015, UAW members at what is now Stellantis voted down a contract endorsed by union leadership.
