Sept 3 (Reuters) - A non-residential building in the western Russian city of Kurchatov caught fire on Sunday after an attack by a Ukrainian drone but emergency services put the fire out and there were no casualties, Roman Starovoit, governor of the Kursk region, said. In a post on the Telegram messaging app, Starovoit did not say which building was affected. Ukraine's Babel online outlet quoted an unnamed source as saying a drone hit a building belonging to the FSB security service. Starovoit also blamed a Ukrainian drone for damage to a building facade in Kurchatov on Sept. 1. Kurchatov is home to one of Russia's biggest nuclear plants, but there were no reports it was affected in either incident.

But five months later, the overall number of people filing refugee claims in Canada has risen instead of falling. But it has sought to discourage those applying for asylum, chiefly through an agreement with the U.S. under which each country turns back asylum seekers. Export control laws restrict companies from sharing sensitive information and technology with certain individuals from other countries. Rebecca Bernhard, a Minneapolis-based labor lawyer who represents companies, said employers subject to export control laws often ignore the ban on citizenship-based bias in the federal Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), exposing them to legal action. Out of more than 10,000 hires, SpaceX only hired one asylee during that period, according to the lawsuit. The DOJ did not directly cite its guidance in the SpaceX lawsuit, but used nearly identical language to describe the company's alleged violations. The alert comes as questions arise about U.S. aviation safety after a series of troubling near-miss incidents. The rule is part of a broader push by Congress and regulatory authorities to crack down on crypto users who may be failing to pay their taxes. "The bank is cooperating with such authorities and is pursuing efforts to enhance its Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering compliance program," TD said in the filing. "What I can say ... we are pursuing efforts to enhance our U.S. AML compliance program," he told analysts. The lender scrapped its planned $13.4 billion acquisition of U.S. regional lender First Horizon earlier this year, a move that was cheered by investors amid the U.S. regional banking crisis.

"Accordingly, the Court will GRANT Defendant's Motion to Dismiss, with partial leave to amend," the judge wrote. Lawyers for Google at law firm Perkins called the allegations a "far-fetched theory" and a "dark conspiracy." Spam filters on email services typically weed out unsolicited "spam" messages and divert them to a separate folder.
