CNN —The issue of race and its historical legacy in the US was at the forefront of NBA star LeBron James’ mind on Wednesday as he asked reporters why he hadn’t received any questions about a photo of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones attending a racial desegregation protest in 1957. “I got one question for you guys before you guys leave,” said James, speaking after the Los Angeles Lakers’ 128-109 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. “I was thinking when I was on my way over here, I was wondering why I haven’t gotten a question from you guys about the Jerry Jones photo. NBA star LeBron James has contrasted the media's interest in the 1957 photo with its coverage of Kyrie Irving and his recent suspension. “It seems like to me that whole Jerry Jones situation photo – and I know it was years and years ago and we all mistakes, I get it,” the 37-year-old James continued.

"The guy I ended up fighting, he was basically threatening a guy, a fan of mine that was in the store," said Owens. Even two days later, Owens said he hasn't been able to figure out why the man was so aggressive to the 49ers fan. But the (49ers) fan was on the phone when I was talking to him.

Raphael Warnock and his Republican opponent, Herschel Walker , a former All-Pro running back for the Dallas Cowboys, remain virtually deadlocked, many polls show. A few have shown Mr. Warnock gaining momentum in recent days.

Despite the disappointing end to the season, there were good signs to go off for the 2017 Super Bowl winners. After Thursday's victory over the Texans and setting a franchise-best start to the season, Hurts was in no mood for getting ahead of himself. "I know it's special for the city of Philadelphia," Hurts, who has at least thrown two touchdowns in the last three games, told reporters. The bold way that the GOP — the pro-life party — continues to support Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker, who allegedly urged an ex-girlfriend to have an abortion and paid for the procedure, is eyebrow-raising to say the least. However, it’s not the first time Walker has been involved in a deal in which he has failed to live up to expectations. If you are an ardent Vikings fan, the Walker trade was a raw deal that still stings to this day. In this lopsided trade, it’s former President Donald Trump and the Republican Party attempting to present Walker as a Senate candidate with deeply held anti-abortion convictions to conservative Georgia voters. According to a Survey USA poll of likely voters, conducted Sept. 30 through Oct. 4, Warnock leads Walker 50% to 38%.

Feb 6, 2022; Paradise, Nevada, USA; AFC running back Najee Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers (22) is stopped by NFC inside linebacker Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys (11) during the Pro Bowl football game at Allegiant Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY SportsSept 26 (Reuters) - The National Football League said on Monday it has decided to replace its annual Pro Bowl exhibition match between all-stars with a week-long skills competition and a flag football game starting next year in Las Vegas. The new event is being called "The Pro Bowl Games" and will replace the traditional tackle football game with competitions between the AFC and NFC culminating in a Feb. 5 game of flag football at the home of the Las Vegas Raiders. While flag football looks similar to tackle football, with passing and receiving, there is little protective equipment needed with play stopping when a defender pulls a cloth flag from the waist of an opponent. Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and his Omaha Productions company will help to shape programming and promote content throughout the week and also be a key part of the coaching staff for the flag football game.
