Bentley Chairman and CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser said "there's not a lot of demand" for EVs from current customers. The cake, which no longer looks edible, survived for almost eight decades since the wedding day on November 20, 1947. Reeman DansieElizabeth and Philip’s wedding cake was an extravagant, nine-foot tall (2.7 meters) creation, which weighed 500 pounds. Meanwhile, cake served at Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding and then kept in plastic wrap in an old cake tin similarly sold for £1,850 (then $2,565) at an auction in 2021. That 40-year-old cake slice featured a coat-of-arms colored in gold, red, blue and silver, a silver horseshoe and leaf spray, as well as some white decorative icing.

Trump defeated Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris, and Republicans claimed a majority of the Senate in elections this week. "We know kind of where the world is headed in a Trump environment because we've seen it before," said Jeffrey Solomon, president of TD Cowen, on CNBC's "Money Movers" Wednesday. One M&A advisor, who also spoke to CNBC anonymously, noted that Trump's disdain for Big Tech companies — historically active deal-makers — might keep them on the sidelines. Apparent GOP opposition to the CHIPS Act means that semiconductor consolidation might be challenging, the advisor noted, while cautioning it is still too early to know what a Trump presidency would mean. Warner Bros. Discovery said Thursday its streaming platform Max added 7.2 million global subscribers in the third quarter. Max now has 110.5 million subscribers as of Sept. 30. Warner Bros. Adjusted EBITDA for the segment was $289 million, an increase of $178 million compared to last year.
