A Utah woman who went viral and was dubbed a "Karen" after she allegedly pulled down a young woman's skirt that she found to be too short and revealing in public has entered into a plea deal on a misdemeanor sexual battery charge. Ida Lorenzo, 49, confronted a young woman on April 20 at a St. George, Utah, eatery in a spat partially caught on camera. In the video, posted April 21, she appears to brag that she works for the state as she admonished the young woman for her skirt. She told police that she confronted a young woman at a restaurant who was wearing “explicit clothing” that exposed her private parts with children present. The female victim said she was wearing underwear and shorts under her skirt, making it impossible to have been exposing herself.

Citing anonymous sources, Reuters reported that Vinícius was approached by Saudi officials and offered a five-year contract worth around 200 million euros (roughly $218 million) per season, plus bonuses, to join the Saudi Pro League (SPL). Vinícius has not yet rejected the possibility of leaving the Spanish capital, Reuters reported, and is studying the offer with his team. One paper published just this year sheds some light as to why tablet use could be related to anger outbursts. This is in the context of near-universal use of social media, with up to 95% of kids ages 13 to 17 reporting using social media. American teens report spending a shocking amount of time — nearly five hours each day—on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and other social media apps. There are a number of problems with this level of social media use, one of which is what this time is replacing. Third, for those whose kids already have smartphones and use social media apps, speak with them about the impact of social media on them.
