A VW Golf GTI stands in a parking lot within sight of the brand tower on the grounds of the VW plant in Wolfsburg, Germany. Volkswagen cut its annual outlook for the second time in less than three months on Friday, citing a weaker-than-expected performance at its passenger car division as pressure on Europe's top automaker continues to rise. The lowered outlook is the latest from Germany's car giants, with Mercedes-Benz and BMW both downgrading their annual forecasts earlier this month as a result of weakening demand in China, the world's biggest car market. Volkswagen said it was cutting its outlook "in light of a challenging market environment and developments that have fallen short of original expectations, particularly at the brands Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Tech. Porsche, the holding company of the Porsche and Piech families that holds most of the voting rights in Volkswagen and is the carmaker's single biggest shareholder, also cut its own outlook in the wake of Volkswagen's downgrade.

Which Battleground State Voters Could Sway the Election? It says that in order for Democrats to win, Black voters must make up 30 percent of all voters and at least 30 percent of white voters must vote Democratic. Black voters, who cast nearly a third of the ballots in 2020, overwhelmingly favored Mr. Biden — by almost 90 percent. That’s because educational attainment divides mostly white voters, and many of Nevada’s less-educated voters are not white. Even so, that wasn’t enough for him to overcome the coalition of white voters with a college degree and voters of color who delivered Mr. Biden a victory.

The committee includes five members: New York City's top attorney, the comptroller, the City Council speaker, the borough president serving the longest consecutive term, and a deputy mayor that the mayor selects, the city charter states. Absolute iron deficiency can be treated with iron supplements, and functional iron deficiency is managed by treating the underlying conditions leading to it, Buckley said, adding that the long-term consequences of functional iron deficiency remain under investigation. Absolute iron deficiency was also common among older women and men, a group that may be more susceptible to the effects of iron deficiency,” he said. Even among adults without conditions that may be associated with iron deficiency – anemia, heart failure, chronic kidney disease or pregnancy – the estimated prevalence of absolute iron deficiency was 11% and that of functional iron deficiency was 15%. Only about 33% of the adults with absolute iron deficiency and 14% of adults with functional iron deficiency had a potential medical reason to screen for iron deficiency, such as anemia, heart failure, chronic kidney disease or pregnancy. However, we know that iron deficiency can cause symptoms before a patient becomes anemic, as anemia is a late-stage manifestation of iron deficiency,” he said.

Protecting kids from substance misusePreventing kids from chroming can be difficult since the items used are often household or hobby items. “The best way to approach chroming is to approach it like other dangers — an ongoing conversation over time,” Choi said. If you notice chroming is a recurring problem for your child, they may have a dependency they can’t easily stop despite your intervention, Pizon said.

The strike in the Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh came shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the U.N., vowing that Israel's campaign against Hezbollah would continue. The Israeli army spokesman, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, said it targeted the main Hezbollah headquarters, located beneath residential buildings. Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV said four buildings were reduced to rubble in the blast, so powerful it rattled windows and shook houses some 30 kilometers north of Beirut. Israel has moved thousands of troops toward the border in preparation. At the U.N., Netanyahu vowed to "continue degrading Hezbollah" until Israel achieves its goals, further dimming hopes for an internationally backed cease-fire.
