Talen's surge comes on the back of its deal to sell a data center campus to Amazon Web Services and supply the facility with nuclear power from the Susquehanna station northwest of Allentown, Pennsylvania. The deal is viewed as a trailblazing agreement for the power industry, and Wall Street has taken notice. A year ago, Talen was not covered by any Wall Street analysts, according to FactSet data. And Talen's assets are located almost entirely in the PJM grid, a predominantly mid-Atlantic region where power prices are expected to explode as demand outstrips supply due in part to growing data center load. Data center developers are expected to spend $250 billion annually on data centers, Barclays analyst Nicholas Campanella said in a note this week.

As of June, the botnet included over 260,000 hacked devices from all over the world, from North and South America to Australia, according to US officials. Those hacked devices ranged from webcams to DVRs to routers, and about half of them were located in the US, according to Wray. That Chinese hacking unit is preparing to “wreak havoc and cause real-world harm” to the US, Wray told Congress in January. Lumen researchers are watching for signs that the Chinese hackers will resurrect the botnet. A Chinese company named Integrity Technology Group managed the botnet for the last three years, according to US officials.

The Food and Drug Administration expanded the approval of Kisqali, a drug for metastatic breast cancer, to also treat patients with earlier stages of the disease, drugmaker Novartis said Tuesday. The approval means that tens of thousands of women diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer will have access to a medication that can help prevent their cancer from coming back. Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday, the U.S. Attorney's Office in New York said. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams confirmed in a statement that on Monday evening, federal agents had arrested Combs, based on a sealed indictment filed by the Southern District of New York. CNN —A critical witness in the original trial of disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has announced she will testify in his upcoming retrial on criminal charges. After Weinstein’s conviction was overturned earlier this year, Mimi Haley, a former production assistant on The Weinstein Company’s “Project Runway,” said she wasn’t sure if she wanted to go through it all again. Haley alleged that Weinstein had pinned her down and forced her into a sex act in 2006 at his Manhattan apartment. Last week, he was indicted in Manhattan in connection to new sexual assault allegations, according to prosecutors. If he is cleared to attend the hearing, Weinstein is expected to be arraigned on the new indictment.
