So it is noteworthy that Democratic and Republican leaders both appear to want to establish a sovereign wealth fund to help the United States pay for stuff. Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, which manages about $925 billion in assets, reported a $36.8 billion profit for 2023, according to Reuters. This isn't the first time Washington has toyed with the idea of a sovereign wealth fund. Last March, a group of bipartisan lawmakers led by Sen. Angus King and Sen. Bill Cassidy began discussing a sovereign wealth fund to pay for Social Security. The White House's interest in a sovereign wealth fund stems partly from its desire to compete with China, which has multiple state-owned funds itself.

My grandad does 500 push-ups three times a week, and my nanny walks for two hours every day. Fitness has always been in my life, and I think my nanny and grandad are where it came from. Plus, I want my kids to be inspired the same way my nanny and granddad inspired me. Whether they knew it or not, my grandparents' actions have led to all these healthy habits I've picked up. A lot of the healthy habits my nanny and grandad do are free, like walking, cutting out processed foods, not drinking much, and getting enough sleep.

CNN —A hiker in northern Washington’s North Cascades National Park was rescued a month after he went missing in July, authorities said Saturday, and according to one rescuer, it was just in time. Search took nearly a monthOn August 3, park officials notified deputies of an abandoned vehicle at the Hannegan Pass trailhead. Hiker alive but ‘not well’Kish disagreed with the official statement of Schock’s condition when his Pacific Northwest Trail Association team found him, he wrote on Facebook. “Robert was found alive, but not well,” Kish wrote. “It was not readily apparent that they had heard a person, but their intuition was to take the time to investigate, just in case,” Kish wrote.
