Spasmodic dysphonia is a neurological disorder that causes involuntary spasms in the muscles of the voice box, also known as the larynx, according to John Hopkins Medicine. Spasmodic dysphonia may also be inherited, but a specific gene for the disorder has not yet been identified. The wildfires that leveled the town of Lahaina on Maui wiped out shops, restaurants and a hotel built more than century ago, burning across some of the most spectacular and wealthiest enclaves of the state. Now the Threads app has been spotted on the Google Play app store in Europe. After months of rumors, Instagram's Twitter rival may be hitting the app store soon. Over the weekend, several people spotted that a new app called "Threads" was listed on the Google Play app store for Android. A link to the desktop version of the Google Play app store appears to only be available in European countries, such as Italy, France, Spain, and Germany. The Threads app is currently listed on the Google Play app store in European countries.

IGTV, which launched in 2018 with its own separate app, was sunset in 2022 and its app is now defunct. But Instagram's ethos was its own downfall when it came to rolling out the IGTV product and separate app. The only other alternative, then, is adding a Twitter-like feed to the main Instagram app. "It's almost this predetermined life cycle of a social consumer app," Wei said, adding that Facebook has already gone though this phase.
