Disney said in a securities filing Tuesday it will nearly double its planned investment in its parks division to roughly $60 billion over the course of 10 years. Still, the company's domestic parks, particularly Walt Disney World in Florida, have seen a slowdown in attendance and hotel room occupancy. Disney will lean on its brands and intellectual property as it builds out its theme parks. The company planned to unveil more details about the investment at its investor day Tuesday. Disney highlighted the historical results of the parks and experiences business since 2017 on the back of heightened investment.

"It's going to be a brave marshal to go out and pick one of those up," Red Bull team boss Christian Horner told Sky Sports television. Local fauna are not uncommon company, with drivers used to groundhogs and foxes on Canada's Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal. Friday's lizard incursion recalled the 2016 Singapore race when Verstappen was surprised on track by a big one that his engineer dubbed "Godzilla". They are also diurnal, meaning they sleep at night, and will hopefully pose no further difficulty for drivers preparing for Sunday's night race.

Still, there were enough pockets of optimism in the company's restructuring plan and streaming strategy to believe CEO Bob Iger's turnaround is working. Indeed, global Disney+ subscribers declined to 146.1 million from 157.8 billion, but nearly all of that was associated with Disney+ Hotstar and not Disney's core markets. Quarter over quarter, that loss of $512 million was narrower by $147 million. Thanks to the ongoing strength of Disney's international parks and cruise line business, Disney expects fourth-quarter operating margins at DPEP to exceed the prior year.

They found the rate of heat illness per 100,000 visitors increased across both scenarios.
