As Abbott's organic sales growth continues to shine, the market will realize both concerns are overblown. The FreeStyle Libre itself, which had 20% organic growth in the quarter, also still has plenty of runway for further growth. Investors should focus instead on the upward revision to management's full-year outlook for both top-line organic growth and earnings. The combination of Thursday's strong results and immediate decline in share price is setting up a positive risk vs. reward setup. Within Diagnostics, a small miss in molecular was more than offset by strong results in core laboratory, point of care and rapid diagnostics.

How to trade Netflix using options ahead of earnings

Netflix earnings are out after the bell Thursday. Breaking down Netflix fundamentals Netflix faces much more competition in the streaming industry than it did a few years ago. These concerns were valid, given that Netflix had accumulated over $10 billion in negative cash flow in the decade leading up to the pandemic through December 2019. Over the four fiscal years from 2020 to 2023, Netflix reported over $10 billion in free cash flow, reversing the negative cash flow of the previous decade. These calls, 8% out of the money, traded for $9 each, representing just under 1.4% of the current stock price.

The recent pullback in GOOGL's stock price offers an attractive entry point for investors looking to gain exposure to these high-growth areas. We'll review an options strategy to get long exposure while limiting overall risk. GOOGL has recently pulled back slightly within a strong bullish trend, creating an attractive risk reward to seek long exposure. The trade Options on Alphabet Inc. Shares of Nordea Bank , the Finnish lender, have been labeled "too cheap to ignore" by investment bank Berenberg. Net interest income – earned through the differences in rates offered to savers and borrowers — grew 7% year-on-year to 3.86 billion euros. "Trading on only 7.5x our [financial year] 2025 earnings — an 8% premium to the sector — we think Nordea is too cheap to ignore. However, the Berenberg analyst believes that Nordea's net interest income is relatively resilient, noting that "the market still underappreciates Nordea's [net interest income] stability, in our view, which contrasts favourably to that of more rate-sensitive Nordic peers." The analyst also said that recent challenges, including a slight miss on second-quarter net interest income expectations or a modest cost increase, should not deter investors.

At current prices, Trump’s 114.75 million shares in Trump Media are worth about $5.6 billion. Trading under the ticker symbol “DJT,” Trump Media has achieved a massive valuation despite making little revenue and Truth Social remaining a tiny player in social media. For months, Trump Media has been a way for investors to bet on Trump returning to the White House, making Truth Social the primary platform for presidential communications. Trump Media recently announced it has been added to the Russell 1000 Index of large-cap stocks and the Russell 3000 Index. As a result, countless retail investors now own a piece of Trump Media through mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

An Airbus A350-1000 aircraft flies above a mosque during the 2023 Dubai Airshow at Dubai World Central - Al-Maktoum International Airport on November 14, 2023. PARIS, July 12 (Reuters) — Airbus has launched a program of cost cuts and a freeze on overall headcount to shore up performance at its core planemaking business in 2024 and beyond, weeks after being forced to cut targets for jet production, industry sources said. An Airbus spokesperson declined to comment on internal memos but confirmed the existence of a performance-improvement plan. In the memo, Scherer predicted that Boeing's ongoing corporate and industrial crisis would force Airbus' main rival to "radically change for the better," the sources said. He also drew attention to the steady rise of China as a competitor with strong state backing and a big domestic market.

"Buying because the stock price has gone down without knowing some of the underlying issues or without understanding some of the underlying activities, could be problematic," says Clark Bellin, president and chief investment officer at Bellwether Wealth. After all, a stock could take major losses and then soar to new heights à la Apple. But what about that same markdown in the price of that company's stock? You'll just have to figure some things out before you buy, says Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist at CFRA. Rather than scrambling to do research, he says, keep a watchlist of stocks you'd be interested in buying at the right price.

The IMF said in the report that emerging markets have seen a decline in the more volatile net portfolio inflows, but net inflows of foreign direct investment (FDI) has been more stable. At the same time, the report said that China saw net capital outflows over the 2022-2023 period, including net negative FDI inflows. Overall, global gross capital inflows declined to 4.4% of global GDP, or $4.2 trillion, in the 2022-2023 period, from 5.8 percent of global GDP, or $4.5 trillion, in 2017-2019. But the U.S. benefited strongly from the shifts, accounting for 41% of global gross inflows during the 2022-2023 period, nearly double its 23% share in 2017-2019. The U.S. share of global gross outflows also increased, to 21% from 14% during the same periods.
