"Content promoting this letter clearly violates our rules on supporting any form of terrorism," TikTok said in a statement, adding that reports that it was "trending" on the platform were inaccurate. A search for "Letter to America" on TikTok surfaced no results on Thursday, with a notice that said the phrase may be associated with "content that violates our guidelines." Morning Bid: Ebbing oil sustains economic glow

Word "Oil" and stock graph are seen through magnifier displayed in this illustration taken September 4, 2022. That drop, which takes annual producer price inflation as low as 1.3%, was driven largely by falling gasoline prices. And that meets news that China's oil refinery throughput fell back in October as industrial fuel demand weakened. The overall energy and inflation picture is helping buoy consumption and stokes the 'soft landing' narrative investors are betting on. The picture in overseas markets, where the economic picture is cloudier, was more mixed.

REUTERS/Dado Ruvic/Illustration Acquire Licensing RightsROME, Nov 15 (Reuters) - Italy's Leonardo (LDOF.MI) is trimming its stake in U.S. unit DRS (DRS.O) as new CEO Roberto Cingolani looks to expand the state-controlled group with major roles in European defence projects. Two sources at Leonardo confirmed that the DRS deal was part of that strategy. Cingolani, a former government minister who became CEO in May, has embraced the need to create broader European alliances to take advantage of rising defence budgets. It has pointed to its cross-border MBDA European missile company joint venture with Airbus (AIR.PA) and BAE Systems (BAES.L) as a model for the projects. Some analysts expressed surprise that the company was reducing its stake in DRS, acquired 15 years ago in a $5.2 billion deal when the Italian group was known as Finmeccanica.

Euro zone banks lose millions of euros to poor IT outsourcing
  + stars: | 2023-11-15 | by ( ) www.reuters.com   time to read: +2 min
This last area in particular cost banks 148 million euros ($160.59 million) in 2022, a 360% increase from the year before, as a result of the "unavailability or poor quality of outsourced services". While the ECB cautioned these losses were "concentrated within a few significant institutions and therefore not indicating a sectoral trend", it also found that banks' "outsourcing arrangements often failed to sufficiently address IT security requirements". Banks are making ever greater use of outsourcing as they switch to cloud-based services from storing information on their own servers. Their cloud expenses surged by 56% in 2022 to account for 3.1% of all money spent by banks on IT, the ECB said. More broadly, the ECB found fundamental shortcomings that were "more severe and widespread than expected" in how banks tackle cybersecurity.
