Given that most of the "Magnificent Seven" has surpassed consensus expectations, Goldman Sachs said the group of big technology companies could once again exceed the broader market's gains this year. So far, six of the Magnificent Seven — all but blockbuster chipmaker Nvidia — have reported fourth-quarter results. Each of the companies, with the exception of electric vehicle maker Tesla , exceeded consensus sales forecasts, and collectively posted 14% year-over-year quarterly sales growth, Kostin noted. Analysts also expect the Magnificent Seven to outperform in margin expansion over the next three years, compared with the rest of the market, he added. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addresses the media after the interim budget on February 1, 2024 in New Delhi, India. So a lot of new people are accessing India," Sitharaman said, while touting that India was able to showcase its digital public infrastructure at the G20 summit it hosted in New Delhi last year. Sitharaman, when asked about what economic issues will define the vote, said "if economic issues are to dominate the election, it would be the recipients of the beneficiaries themselves coming out to say, 'I'm empowered now'." "If anything, for us it will be performance on the economic issues, good performance, inclusive growth that we've offered." Some of Amazon's spending is likely to go toward its custom AI chips, known as Trainium and Inferentia. But the Seattle-based tech giant also buys Nvidia chips. On Thursday's post-earnings call, CEO Andy Jassy said AWS offers the "most expansive collection of compute instances with Nvidia chips." Alphabet's spending on AI chips has typically been split between its custom chips designed in partnership with Broadcom, known as Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), and Nvidia's offerings. Including networking products that stitch together parts of the data center, about 15% of Broadcom's semiconductor revenue was tied to generative AI spending in fiscal 2023.

BEIJING, Dec 4 (Reuters) - The biggest pig breeders in China, consumer of fully half the world's pork, seem to have bitten off more than they can chew. More huge losses are expected next year, putting China's pig enterprises under pressure to slim down their breeding herds and sell off farms, many of which are sitting empty. But now, especially given the companies' high debt levels, the analyst said: "It's hard for them to borrow any money from the banks." That follows a 17% surge in the first nine months of this year at China's 15 big market-listed breeders even as they reported 200 billion yuan in combined net losses. China's agriculture ministry has warned of heavier losses for the sector in early 2024 than a year ago and urged pig producers to cut output.
