Akash Nigam, the founder of Genies, purchased ChatGPT Plus accounts for all of his 120 employees. A CEO is spending thousands each month buying ChatGPT Plus accounts for every single employee at his company — and he says he's already seeing gains. While it has only been a month since Genies' employees have had their accounts, Nigam said he has "already seen many tasks get accelerated." The employees that are "using AI effectively" will be up for a promotion and raise, he said. Even Microsoft is letting employees use ChatGPT — as long as they don't share confidential information with the tool.
Allbirds is one of the brands I'm looking at. TikTok is looking more and more like a record label. When TikTok launched SoundOn, a song-distribution and artist-services platform, some in the industry wondered whether it was trying to muscle its way into record labels' territory. TikTok is now looking to hire people who will "identify, sign, and develop new artists" as well as "design live show and merchandise strategies for artists globally." Get a front-row seat to TikTok's transformation into a record label here.
Exercising your memory regularly is the key to brain enhancement, especially if you want to ward off memory issues later on. What separates people with excellent memory skills apart from those who struggle is that they have both a strong working memory (retaining information immediately after learning it) and long-term memory (recalling information more than a day after memorizing it). As a neuroscientist at MIT Sloan, here are two simple brain exercises I do every day to boost my working memory and long-term memory:1. Space repetition: Strengthen your long-term memoryThis method is all about boosting memory at increasingly longer intervals of time. When you go to the store later in the week, see how many items you can recall.

That was causing Gen Z to devise creative solutions due to these unrealistic expectations, per Fortune.
April 7 (Reuters) - Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce showed why he makes his money catching balls instead of throwing them after his ceremonial first pitch at a Cleveland Guardians baseball game badly missed the mark on Friday. A smiling Kelce immediately ran over to check on Guardian's pitcher Shane Bieber, who was crouched behind home plate but never had a shot at catching the errant throw. Kelce's brother Jason plays for the Philadelphia Eagles and the pitch is sure to be a topic when they record the next episode of their podcast "New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce." The Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35 in February's Super Bowl in the first ever meeting of brothers on opposing teams in the NFL's championship game. [1/2] Members of K-pop boy band BTS pose for photographs during a news conference promoting their new album "BE(Deluxe Edition)" in Seoul, South Korea, November 20, 2020. The company's efforts to expand its portfolio of music labels and fan community platforms come after HYBE on Sunday withdrew its plan to take over rival label SM Entertainment (041510.KQ) after a weeks-long battle with social media giant Kakao (035720.KS). HYBE owns multiple subsidiary labels and management companies including Ithaca Holdings, boasting a range of artists including BTS, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. The slowdown was largely, but not exclusively, due to the absence of BTS, who are currently on a break as a group, he said. Bang declined to comment on details of a new partnership deal with Kakao Entertainment on fan platform businesses, but added he was "personally satisfied" with the arrangement despite losing the bid to acquire SM Entertainment.
When she turned around, her thong was fully visible, rising up from the ultra-low Eduardo Lucero jersey dress. Gillian Anderson's fashion choices for the 2001 Vanity Fair Oscars party have become an iconic early 2000s moment. Anderson told a panel in 2016 that the thong was a last-minute decision, not a planned style choice. But when I put it on, my pubic hairs poked through the dress,” Anderson told the moderator and the audience to raucous laughter. As for the fate of the Eduardo Lucero dress, Anderson donated it to a charity auction (sans thong) to benefit research into the genetic disorder Neurofibromatoses, according to her website.

Hong Kong/Seoul CNN —The billionaire mastermind behind some of the world’s biggest K-pop stars is pushing back on accusations that he’s trying to monopolize the Korean music industry. “It wouldn’t be correct to say that we’re trying to take over the whole industry,” Bang told CNN in an exclusive interview in Seoul. Bang Si-Hyuk, who chairs the HYBE management agency, spoke with CNN's Richard Quest on Tuesday. “When the two companies are combined, a monopoly and oligopolistic group of companies that account for approximately 66% of total market sales will be created,” it told CNN. The company would then announce the outcome and next steps, it told CNN on Friday.

Knowing how to talk to chatbots may get you hired as a prompt engineer for generative AI. Prompt engineers are experts in asking AI chatbots — which run on large language models — questions that can produce desired responses. Unlike traditional computer engineers who code, prompt engineers write prose to test AI systems for quirks; experts in generative AI told The Washington Post that this is required to develop and improve human-machine interaction models. Prompt engineering may not be 'the job of the future'Some academics question how effective prompt engineers really are in testing AI. Companies in a variety of industries are hiring prompt engineersThat isn't stopping companies across industries from hiring prompt engineers.

OVER THE LAST YEAR, bobs have swept the starlet set. Hailey Bieber is a freshly shorn adopter; Zendaya got one in December, 2022; and Emily Ratajkowski went viral after wearing a short, wavy wig to a fashion show this month. What do all three women’s bobs have in common? Unfairly, the bob has acquired a bad rap as a high-maintenance hairstyle. Photographs of the glamorous 1920s-era actress depict a preternatural version of the chop: shiny, precise to a militaristic degree, nary a hair out of place.
Bored Ape Yacht Club was not the biggest crypto phenomenon, but it was one of the top beneficiaries of celebrity hype. The Bored Apes — a computer-generated collection of 10,000 cartoons — were being presented as a status symbol, membership in an exclusive club. Yuga sued Ripps for trademark infringement, and argues that his maligning of the Yuga apes is nothing more than a profiteering tactic. Hickman, who is Black, thought the Bored Apes looked like stereotypical portrayals of Black people as stupid or lazy. He said he thought this would be obvious to most people the second they saw an image of a Bored Ape.
