At the end of the series premiere, Logan suffered a debilitating stroke, setting in motion the plot that would go on to drive four “Succession” seasons. Heading into the series finale, most of the big questions raised by that first episode remained unsettled. We will have a full review of the final “Succession” episode soon. In the meantime, here is a quick summary of how some of those questions were answered by the finale. Instead, Matsson becomes convinced that the sycophantic Tom will do whatever dirty deed the new bosses need done after the takeover.
DON’T BE THESE GUYS Textbook blue-and-white gingham shirts are a blah, corporate staple these days. Photo: RYAN MESINA/THE WALL STREET JOURNALEARLIER THIS YEAR, Brett Miles surprised himself. The 37-year-old left his London finance job and moved to Milan to start afresh. Step one: He bought a pair of pants bolder and more fashion-forward than anything he’d worn in his previous corporate life. “They’re my liberation pants,” said Miles.
Viewers say the character seems to resemble aspects of both Elon Musk and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. Alexander Skarsgard plays Matsson, the billionaire CEO of tech streaming media giant GoJo – a socially awkward, vaguely sinister tech bro. But viewers have been pointing out the character's similarities to two bosses in particular — Elon Musk, and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. "I definitely didn't try to play an Elon Musk character," Skarsgard said. In one recent episode of "Succession," Matsson tweets a "very nasty joke" after Kendall Roy's presentation about the Living+ initiative because he's less than pleased about the move.

However, Shkreli was released from jail early in May 2022, after which he was transferred to a halfway house, where he lived until September. Upon getting out of jail, he posted a selfie of himself on Facebook, saying: "Getting out of real prison is easier than getting out of Twitter prison."

Reps. Jamaal Bowman and Marjorie Taylor Greene got into a shouting match outside the Capitol. The video shows Bowman blaming the current situation on the legacy of former President Donald Trump, with Greene's responses repeatedly mentioning "missing" migrant children. Before turning away from Bowman, the video shows Greene saying: "Let me tell you something Jamaal, you're not very smart, you should pay attention." At this point, Bowman, who was still shouting, was tapped on the shoulder by Ocasio-Cortez, the video shows. Insider contacted Bowman, Greene, and Ocasio-Cortez for comments but did not immediately receive responses.
Nima Momeni is facing a murder charge in connection to the death of Cash App founder Bob Lee. At a later point, Lee began casually sleeping with Momeni's sister, Khazar, per WSJ. Prosecutors previously alleged in court documents that Momeni confronted Lee that night about his sister, Khazar, before the stabbing. Afterward, friends familiar with the matter said that Lee started sleeping with Khazar Momeni, who is married to Dino Elyassnia, a well-known San Francisco-based plastic surgeon. She told WSJ that, if anything, Lee may have been microdosing ketamine to treat depression.
When my dog started behaving protective around me, I wondered what was going on. Winston started choosing me to cuddle with, hopping on to our couch and sitting on my feet to keep them warm. When this dog started jumping on another colleague's lap and settling in for long snuggles, its owner had a strong hunch about why. How to help prepare your dog for your new babyYour dog may or may not be aware of an impending arrival. She also tells dog owners to be mindful that an owner's pregnancy can be a stressful time for dogs and that they may require extra attention and care whenever you can give it.
Elon Musk offered few clues about Twitter's next CEO, besides that "she" will take over in weeks. The cryptic post drove plenty of people on Musk's platform to suggest possible contenders. One serious guess came from tech journalist Kara Swisher, who laid out her case and observations in a Twitter thread. An NBCUniversal spokesperson told Insider that Yaccarino was preparing for the Upfronts, an event where media companies pitch advertisers. Guesses included famous tech names, some quickly debunkedYou didn't have to look far on Twitter to see some famous tech names like Sheryl Sandberg, Marissa Mayer, or Susan Wojcicki being floated.
It has been a quiet season for international television on American screens — nothing has grabbed attention on a “Squid Game” or “Downton Abbey” scale. But barely a day goes by, in the streaming age, without an interesting series washing up from some foreign shore. Here are four recent shows worth tracking down, from an elegant British thriller to a Chinese dramedy about a demon god and an immortal warrior who meet cute on the mortal plane. ‘A Spy Among Friends’Alexander Cary, a writer and executive producer on “Homeland,” wrote this six-episode spy thriller as a leisurely, literate, three- or four-dimensional game of chess. Tightly controlled yet somehow relaxed, Lewis gives a performance in which the coldblooded manipulator and the sentimentally loyal bro coexist at every moment.

It’s a good setup for a travel memoir, ripe with opportunities to revisit the past and measure his own faded youth against the full flourishing of his son’s young adulthood. And McCarthy — who wrote about his Brat Pack years in a previous memoir and has established a respectable second career as a travel writer — makes the most of them. He muses about his failed marriage to Sam’s mother, and his current marriage to the mother of his two younger children. Raised Catholic, he duly notes the pilgrimage’s churchly roots but evinces little religious impulse himself. But it makes Sam a singularly frustrating travel companion at times, for his father as much as the reader.

Altman told Insider, "We debate our approach frequently and carefully." "I don't think anyone can lose your dad young and wish he didn't have more time with him," Altman told Insider. Decarb bros believe it’s all going to be OK. And the bros, a loose affiliation of mostly young researchers, climate tech workers, policymakers and people following along online, believe in making fun of themselves, at least a little. See: “Decarb bros,” a term they have embraced regardless of gender identity or weight-lifting ability. “We are against doomerism,” said Billy Casagrande, who works at Scale Microgrids, a climate tech start-up. The consensus among young people seems to be “that we are screwed as it relates to climate,” the self-described decarb bro, who is 25, continued.

Nearly a year ago, I began dating two friends — I’ll call them Rachel and Dave — who were already themselves in a relationship. The throuple ended fairly quickly, with no one being at fault; the other two continued to date but broke up not too long afterward. Since then, Rachel and Dave have dated on and off, Rachel and I were casually together and Dave and I have been close friends who sleep together occasionally. At times, we have all behaved badly, sleeping together behind the other’s back, knowing the knowledge would hurt the other. Do Rachel and Dave get “priority,” in that they should be together and I should not pursue either, because they dated first?

And if any city is the city where you can see just how remarkably things have shifted, it's also Miami. If the draw in the 1920s was imaginary land, Miami's bubble in the 2020s was driven by imaginary money — crypto. The newcomers — and the crypto kids, especially — believed they could master Miami as easily as they had mastered the markets. The new Miami money party started to run out of libations. "There were a lot of true believers in the Miami crypto scene.

One current SVB employee is on the front lines of what has been dubbed the worst bank crisis since 2008. The best thing about working at SVB is its tight-knit, supportive culture: "We had a good thing going." I work at SVB, and as you might surmise, the situation sucks. What makes it really sting, though, is how the awesome culture I've experienced here is forever stained by those failures. And even now, it feels like the whole bank has really rallied around trying to show that we're more than just a bank.
