Un moldovean care conducea un microbuz cu o remorcă a fost tras pe dreapta de polițiștii români de frontieră. Acesta a prezentat la punctul de trecere Albița un permis de conducere pentru categoriile "B" şi "C", pe când pentru a putea conduce ansamblul rutier respectiv este necesară deținerea categoriei “BE”. Totodată, poliţiştii de frontieră au stabilit faptul că permisul de conducere a fost retras în data de 21 februarie 2018 pentru o perioada de 36 luni. Poliţiştii români de frontieră efectuează cercetări sub aspectul săvârşirii infracţiunilor de conducere pe drumurile publice a unui vehicul de către o persoană al cărei permis de conducere este necorespunzător categoriei sau subcategoriei din care face parte vehiculul respectiv şi conducerea pe drumurile publice a unui autovehicul de către o persoană căreia exercitarea dreptului de a conduce i-a fost suspendat.

Judoka Victor Sterpu wins gold at U23 European ChampionshipsMoldovan judoka Victor Sterpu has won a gold medal at the Under-23 European Judo Championships that are taking place in Croatia, IPN reports. The 21-year-old athlete scored five victories in the 73 kg weight class, against Joao Fernando of Portugal, Cezary Tchorzewski of Poland, Adrian Sulca of Romania, Yehonatan Elbaz of Israel and Makhmadbek Makhmadbekov of Russia. In the final, he beat the Russian judoka by ippon in a game that lasted for 3 minutes and 49 seconds. Victor Sterpu has good chances of qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games. He currently takes the 26th spot in the world rankings in the 73 kg class.

Moldovan wrestlers win five medals at “Zagreb Open”The Greco-Roman wrestlers of Moldova have won five medals at the international tournament “Zagreb Open”. The final of the 77 kg class involved Daniel Cataraga, 25, and Alexandrin Guțu, 17. Donior Islamov also won gold, in the 67 kg class. The silver medalists are Victor Ciobanu (60 kg) and Valentin Petic (72 kg). “Zagreb Open” was a preparatory stage before the World Championship of Budapest that was set for December, but could be yet cancelled owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
