For the first time in its century-plus history, the Anti-Defamation League is suing a Fortune 500 company, Intel , joining a case brought by the law firm of Wigdor on behalf of a former Israeli employee of the technology firm. Intel has operated in Israel for 50 years, where it has invested more than $50 billion, and remains one of Israel's largest private employers with more than 11,700 Israeli employees. The company estimated $8.7 billion in exports from its Intel operations, accounting for 5.5% of Israel's high-tech exports and 1.75% of the country's GDP, in 2022. When employers do not meet their legal obligations in protecting their Jewish employees, ADL will not hesitate to act." The Walt Disney Company will no longer use Slack for in-house company communication months after a hack that involved more than a terabyte of company data being leaked to the public. Representatives from Disney and Salesforce, the owner of Slack, did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment. "Companies also have to take the right measure to prevent phishing attacks and to lockdown their employees' social engineering," he added. Thanks to a special Texas law, the two astronauts will still be able to perform their civic duty, voting absentee from low-Earth orbit. Since then, multiple astronauts have cast ballots from space, including now-retired NASA astronaut Leroy Chiao in 2004. Like most US astronauts, Wilmore and Williams live near NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Texas’ Harris County, where election officials confirmed to CNN that they are working with the space agency to send the astronauts their ballots on Saturday. “Before sending the astronauts their ballot, a test ballot with a unique password is sent first,” said Rosio Torres-Segura, a spokesperson for the Harris County clerk. Once the astronauts vote their live ballot, it is returned, printed, and processed with other ballots.”Wilmore and Williams’ ballots will arrive on Earth about five months before they do.

As former President Donald Trump insists that the rate cut was fueled by partisan politics, Harris has to thread the needle with her rhetoric, experts told Business Insider. Celebrate the rate cut and she risks fueling Trump's narrative; ignore the rate cut and she doesn't get to claim a desperately needed economic victory. "This is a double edged one for Harris," Mark Blyth, a political economist at Brown University, said. Advertisement"On the other hand, Vice President Harris is running to be president of the same economy that the Federal Reserve is managing," Tedeschi told Business Insider. But Blyth remains skeptical that the rate cut will have a lasting impact in an election that's been defined by volatility.

There’s been an odd numbness in the political ecosystem regarding the apparent second attempt to assassinate former President Donald Trump. The problem with political discourse in America right now is that we are all stuck in a social media funhouse mirror booth. I promise you that the way Americans speak about one another online isn’t the way most Americans behave in person with one another. As social media rose and became the main distributor and facilitator of political information, our politics have become more combative and less collaborative. Right now, our political information ecosystem doesn’t reward incrementalism or nuance, instead punishing both and, more to the point, rewarding those who make up the best stories.
