Lawyers for Brazilian Massa last week notified Formula One chief executive Stefano Domenicali and Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the governing FIA, of the intent to claim compensation. An FIA spokesperson last week acknowledged receipt of "correspondence" from Massa's representatives and said the matter was under review. The scandal, widely known as 'Crashgate', did not emerge until a year later and led to Renault team bosses being banned. Vasseur said teams wanted to know the result of races at the chequered flag and not after the podium celebrations had happened. The Frenchman, who was Renault team boss in 2016, took over at Ferrari in January and was not in Formula One in 2008.

The source said talks are at "quite an advanced stage" and would involve Lavoie taking over "as much as possible" of VanMoof's operations. The company had raised more than $180 million from investors including private equity firm Hillhouse, Silicon Valley venture capital fund Norwest Venture Partners and venture firm Felix Capital. According to another source familiar with the matter, McLaren Applied is one of two suitors remaining for VanMoof. Bought from McLaren by private equity firm Greybull Capital in 2021, McLaren Applied recently launched the premium Lavoie e-scooter brand.

In a complaint filed in Brooklyn federal court, the SEC said Heart, also known as Richard Schueler, touted his Hex token, PulseX asset trading platform and PulseChain asset network on YouTube and other websites as pathways to "grandiose wealth." The SEC accused Heart of spending investor funds on McLaren and Ferrari sports cars, four Rolex watches and "The Enigma," which cost 3.16 million British pounds (then $4.28 million) at auction and was purportedly the world's largest black diamond. Heart, 43, is a U.S. citizen believed to live in Helsinki, Finland, the SEC said. He did not immediately respond to a request for comment through LinkedIn. Hex, PulseX and PulseChain are also defendants.

SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium, July 30 (Reuters) - Red Bull suffered a second trophy malfunction in a week on Sunday after the one handed to the winning constructor at the Belgian Grand Prix was broken after a celebratory team photograph. In Hungary last Sunday the porcelain race winner's trophy handed to Max Verstappen toppled off the podium and smashed after McLaren's Lando Norris popped his champagne by bashing the bottle on the ground. "It's broken again, the trophy's broken again," Verstappen, who has now won eight in a row and leads the championship by 125 points, shouted in footage posted by Red Bull on Instagram. Video showed team members rushing towards the camera as others sprayed cans of Red Bull. "Ready for summer-BREAK," the team commented, with the video showing team members trying to reassemble it.
