A mother fatally shot an intruder who broke into her Louisiana home with her two young children inside earlier this week. Robert Rheams, 51, broke into the Hammond home of a woman early Sunday, armed with a shovel and lug wrench, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said. After making entry, he got into a physical altercation with the woman, “which ultimately led to Rheams being shot by the homeowner,” the sheriff's office said. Rheams was out on parole after serving 20 years in prison for armed robbery at the time of the home invasion, the sheriff’s office said. London CNN —Former England cricket captain Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff has been hospitalized after an accident during filming of the popular motoring show “Top Gear.”The incident occurred at the Dunsfold Aerodrome track in Surrey, southern England, which features regularly in the BBC show. “Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track yesterday morning – with crew medics attending the scene immediately,” a BBC spokesperson told CNN on Wednesday. A Minnesota woman was fatally shot outside of her workplace last week by a coworker after she denied his repeated romantic advances, police said.
