Brad Gilbert — tennis junkie, junkballer, commentator, coach of legends — had roughly seven minutes to trade his coaching hat for a microphone, to shift from helping Coco Gauff manage her third-round match Friday night to interviewing Novak Djokovic in the tunnel before his. That match, by the way, ended just after 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, and Gilbert had spent Friday afternoon calling matches before heading to Gauff’s courtside box. It was well after 2 a.m. when he got back to the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott. Then he spent an hour analyzing the video of the match that Gauff’s next opponent, Caroline Wozniacki, had won that afternoon. Andre Agassi had him at his side when he won the U.S. Open in 1994, as did Andy Roddick, in 2003.

EV charging stations sometimes lack simple amenities like 24-hour bathrooms, food, and trash cans. That's because charging stations today often lack basic amenities that we take for granted at gas stations: things like bathrooms, rain and sun cover, food options, and even trash cans. You can pick up the echo in “Fixer," the haunting second collection of poems from Edgar Kunz. The narrator of these poems bounces from one side hustle to another, each more absurd than the last. In “Model,” he’s paid to pose in jeans at a gas station. In “Shoulder Season,” he’s paid to slice window panes out of massive sheets of glass. As Starbucks celebrates the 20th anniversary of its pumpkin spice latte, the coffee chain is adding a third pumpkin drink to its fall menu. Starting Thursday, the iced pumpkin cream chai latte joins the company's existing pumpkin lineup, which also includes the pumpkin cream cold brew, returning for its fifth year. The seasonal menu addition comes as Starbucks customers increasingly choose cold drinks over hot options, no matter the temperature outside. Starbucks' more upscale Reserve locations, which also serve alcohol, will serve special pumpkin spice drinks for the first time, too. The Reserve fall menu includes a pumpkin spice espresso martini, playing off the espresso martini craze, and a pumpkin spice whiskey barrel-aged iced latte.

New York CNN —The Pumpkin Spice Latte is coming back, again. Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte was introduced 20 years ago. StarbucksAnd Starbucks’ Reserve stores, more upscale locations, will also sell pumpkin spice beverages for the first time this year. Pumpkin spice is everywhere now, to the point where people roll their eyes when they see yet another pumpkin spice product, or mourn the arrival of pumpkin spice anything as marking the end of summer. Seasonal items like the Pumpkin Spice Latte are also an important marketing tool because they only come around once a year.

It's made by frothing nonfat cold milk and is added to iced drinks like cold brews. While some drinks come with cold foam on top as standard, such as some of its flavored cold brews, customers can opt to add it to other cold drinks for $1.25. Currently there are six flavors of cold foam available – chocolate cream, cinnamon sweet cream, matcha cream, salted caramel cream, vanilla sweet cream, and white chocolate macadamia cream. Tim Hortons in the US, for example, sells set chilled drinks with cold foam and also has the option for customers to add it to some of its other cold drinks. Dunkin' started selling sweet cold foam in February 2021, and has since launched it in a number of time-limited flavors including brown sugar and salted caramel.

But the public’s leverage is weak, the political dynamics are complex and the alternatives are fewer than they used to be. The upshot was an enduring advantage for internet retailers over bricks-and-mortar stores. Adding insult to injury, the big internet retailers have taken great advantage of a communal resource. The real estate that Amazon and other vendors require to make their deliveries is not private but public. We faced a smaller version of this problem with the surge of urban lunch trucks a decade ago.

Just because these items are being auctioned off doesn't mean you'll be able to fill your living room with furniture from Twitter HQ. HGP will help buyers carry items into the loading area, but it does not provide shipping services. In January, the company sold items from its HQ including a pizza oven, office furniture, and an espresso machine. The New Look in Cocktails? Layers and Stripes.

Fajita favorites of recent years have included the espresso martini, all manner of blue cocktails and any drink on fire. The latest, though, has something else in common with fajitas besides contagious appeal: layers of colorful ingredients. In a layered cocktail, the various liquid components settle out in separate strata, giving the drink a striped or ombré look. There are two ways to layer a cocktail: floats and sinkers. A sinker is also poured in last but, owing to the ingredient’s weight, falls to the bottom of the glass.

Cold drinks tend to cost more, but they can also cause headaches for staff. Cold drinks account for 75% of Starbucks' beverage sales. "The team is making good progress with its efforts to become a bigger player in the high-growth cold beverage category and saw cold beverage sales grow 16.6% year-over-year," Restaurant Brands International CEO Josh Kobza said. Tim Hortons' cold drinks menu looks remarkably like Starbucks' – especially in the US. Cold drinks can potentially reap higher profits for coffee chains because they tend to cost more and some customers opt for costly modifications.

Target is rolling out an option that lets customers nationwide order Starbucks food and beverages for curbside delivery. Target is looking to jolt sales by adding Starbucks drinks and food to its curbside pickup service at stores across the country. The retailer began testing the Starbucks curbside pickup service at some stores in the fall. Target's curbside pickup service, Drive Up, helped fuel the company's e-commerce and sales growth during the Covid-19 pandemic. Yet, according to Target, curbside pickup has led to more business. That explains why Target has added other features and more items to curbside pickup, including beer and wine.

The increase has been fast: Just five years ago, coffee, teas, lemonades and other cold drinks made up less than half of Starbucks’ beverage sales. Justin Sullivan/Getty ImagesThis trend isn’t exclusive to Starbucks, as other coffee companies are catering to growing demand for cold drinks. Half of Gen Z consumers own a drip coffee brewer, compared to 60% of all coffee consumers, Mintel said. Younger consumers view cold coffee beverages as more refreshing, better tasting and more of a treat than hot coffee, the surveys show. Iced macchiato, iced specialty tea, iced espresso and iced americano have also ranked among the fastest-growing non-alcoholic drinks on menus tracked by Technomic.

Kaitlin Wichmann is an American expat living and working in Lisbon, Portugal. She said the country's focus on work-life balance has been a positive change from the US. When I lived in the US, most of my coworkers didn't even take lunch or if we did it was a working lunch. When I'm interviewing with a potential client or agency, I'm always upfront about living in Lisbon and working Portuguese hours. Obviously, it's easier for me because I'm self-employed — a lot of my friends work for American companies and it's much harder to do.

At 131 years old, Maxwell House is no spring chicken, and most of its loyal drinkers aren't either. But Kraft Heinz is looking to revive the coffee brand by appealing to younger consumers with its new iced latte with foam, its first product launch in nearly a decade. Even within the instant coffee segment, Maxwell House ranks third, trailing Nestle's Nescafe and JM Smuckers' Folgers in U.S. market share, according to Euromonitor International data. But with its new Iced Latte with Foam, Maxwell House hopes to bridge that gap and win over new customers. The iced latte with foam is available nationwide at major retailers and on Amazon and comes in three flavors: vanilla, hazelnut and caramel.
