Earlier, second seed Medvedev had an easier than expected 6-4 6-3 semi-final win over familiar rival Alexander Zverev. This was the fifth meeting between the pair this year and although Russian world number three Medvedev won three of the previous four, Zverev had won their most recent clash in Cincinnati. The American's frequent doubles partner Jessica Pegula also had to dig deep for a 6-7(2) 6-2 6-1 win over Anna Blinkova. The 29-year-old faces 2017 French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko seeking a fourth win in their fifth meeting. World number two Iga Swiatek progressed with a 6-4 6-1 win over Varvara Gracheva and fifth seed Elena Rybakina beat Tatjana Maria 7-5 6-0 after Ons Jabeur lost 7-6(5) 6-1 to Marta Kostyuk.

Venice's city hall said the injured people had been taken to nearby hospitals, with four in a serious condition. US admits Israel into visa waiver program

Some Palestinians have protested against Israel's entry into the program, saying Israel for decades has discriminated against Arab Americans and harassed them at its borders. They also must treat all U.S. travelers equally, so Israel must allow free passage for Palestinian Americans at Ben Gurion airport. In a pilot period since July 20, Israel has eased access for Palestinian Americans through its borders and the Israeli-occupied West Bank. According to Israel's Interior Ministry, more than 130,000 Americans entered Israel since the pilot began, including 6,070 Palestinian Americans. Between 45,000 and 60,000 Palestinian Americans live in the West Bank, a U.S. official estimated.

And now it’s fall, when the continent really comes into its own as the leaves – and visitor numbers – start to drop. A recent report from luxury travel network Virtuoso named Paris, London and Florence as the most booked cities for fall travel. “Fall is one of the best times to visit Europe because of the vast variety of interests [the season] can cater to,” says Mina Agnos, president of luxury travel company Travelive. If you’re ready for a different take on Europe this fall, we’ve got ideas. Fall also means it’s harvest time in Rebland – an area southwest of Baden-Baden famous for its Riesling.

BRUSSELS, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Agreements between companies not to hire each other's employees have recently attracted regulatory scrutiny, a senior EU antitrust official said on Friday, amid concerns that such practices may unlawfully restrict workers' job opportunities. The U.S. Justice Department has in recent years stepped up enforcement over no-poach and non-solicitation agreements, with individuals launching litigation. That could soon change, said Olivier Guersent, director general at the European Commission's antitrust unit. Antitrust lawyers say no-poach deals can be seen as agreements to restrict competition in labour markets. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy suggested that EU allies that are prohibiting imports of his nation’s grain are helping Russia. All the EU countries will keep allowing Ukrainian products to move through their borders to world markets. Russia dealt a huge blow by withdrawing in July from a wartime agreement that ensured safe passage for Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea. MALIBU, California – The most amazing thing about the $2.1 million Rimac Nevera is how easy it is to just get in and drive. It sits low — very low — to the ground, and at first glance it looks like the simple act of getting into it could be complicated. Gears are shifted with a big knob to the left of the steering wheel, the power seat's adjustments are hidden in a touchscreen, and switches for the turn signals and headlights are mounted directly on the steering wheel. One of the first things I noticed as we got underway is that it's easy to see out of the Nevera. And the Nevera is very special indeed — as it should be for its just over $2 million asking price.
