SINGAPORE, July 11 (Reuters) - Singapore investment firm Temasek Holdings (TEM.UL) on Tuesday posted a 5.2% drop in its net portfolio value to S$382 billion ($284.65 billion) in the financial year that ended in March. The drop in net portfolio value is its first since the 2019 financial year and came amid intensified global market volatility. Over the last decade, Temasek has grown its net portfolio value by 77.7% to S$382 billion from S$215 billion in 2013. Its portfolio value hit a record high of S$403 billion in the year ending in March 2022. Most of China's tech companies share prices have rallied since Friday on the hope that strict regulations that have stymied growth for more than two years would ease.

CNN —An unnamed witness has said “Rust” film armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed “transferred a small bag of cocaine” after returning from a police interview on the day of the “Rust” fatal shooting, according to a motion filed by prosecutors Thursday. The new filing comes after prosecutors last week charged Gutierrez Reed with tampering with evidence in relation to the shooting death of the movie’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, according to an amended complaint filed last week. The charge is in addition to two counts of involuntary manslaughter filed against Gutierrez Reed earlier this year. “This is more of the same underhanded, secret, reprehensible tactics from the state.”CNN previously reported Gutierrez Reed transferred narcotics to another person “with the intent to prevent the apprehension, prosecution or conviction of herself,” an amended complaint said. Bangkok, Thailand CNN —A 57-year-old Thai woman had to have her leg amputated after she got caught up in a moving walkway at an international airport in Bangkok on Thursday in a freak accident that has yet to be fully explained by authorities. Don Mueang International Airport’s director Karant Thanakuljeerapat said the incident took place at around 8:27 a.m. local time (7:27 p.m. She has since been transferred to Bumrungrad International Hospital, one of the country’s top medical facilities, the director added. All of the airport’s moving walkways have had their service suspended while the cause of the incident is investigated and engineers do safety checks, he added. Being able to use Russian airspace has come as a boon as it looks to capture a bigger share of the market. IATA Director General Willie Walsh called for an opening up of Russian airspace.
