Crew (which was once well-known for a generous return policy that spanned the lifetime of a garment) have shortened their regular return windows to within a month. Changing the return policy is an easier pill for the costumer to swallow than an increase in the purchase price. "Changing the return policy is an easier pill for the costumer to swallow than an increase in the purchase price." How to avoid return feesStill, shoppers love free returns almost as much as they love free shipping. In fact, 98% of consumers said that free shipping was the most important consideration when shopping online, followed by more than three-quarters who said the same about free returns, according to a recent report by PowerReviews.
She's the CEO of the Five Pillars Team, a brokerage team built by veterans to help military members and investors reach their real estate goals, at eXp Realty. In 2017, she had first considered the idea of building a real estate portfolio that could generate an income. However, as demand began to fall due to rising interest rates, she also hit the brakes on this strategy. Normally, when you're scaling a real estate portfolio, any tasks you don't have to do yourself can be delegated, she noted. Although interest rates are higher, buyers have way more power than they had six months to 18 months ago, she said.
"History has shown us that the leaders of the last bull market are not the leaders of this bull market, at least in the last 50 years," Barry said. Energy, for instead, outperformed in the '70s, but consumer staples led the bull market in the 1980s, he said. When it comes to what could lead the market through the next bull market, energy looks promising, Barry said. In addition to energy, Barry thinks industrials look interesting, particularly aerospace and defense. Overall, he likes small-cap stocks over large cap as leaders of the next bull market, value over growth, U.S. over international and equal-weight funds over market-weight funds.
The companies said Kroger agreed to buy Albertsons for $34.10 a share in a deal valued at $24.6 billion. The tie-up comes during a challenging time in the grocery industry. The grocery industry is highly fragmented. Albertsons’ share was about 5%. Consolidation in the grocery industry has not historically paid off in the form of higher profits, he said.
Nike shoes are displayed on a shelf a Nike factory store on June 28, 2022 in Milpitas, California. Nike is taking steps to curb the proliferation of sneaker-buying bots and resellers. Previous versions of Nike's terms already prohibited buying products for resale. Nike also added that it can decline refunds, charge restocking fees and suspend the accounts of users it suspects of reselling. Earlier this year, Nike took legal action against online resale marketplace StockX for allegedly allowing sales of counterfeit versions of its sneakers.
The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday reported on a recent change to Nike's terms of sale. A Nike insider, as well as analysts, said it's a good move, but it won't solve the problem. But Nike's revised terms of sale, while applauded by many, still comes up short of a full solution to its reselling problem, insiders and analysts said. Nike also has policies that prohibit reselling in Europe and South Korea, but they don't specifically state any repercussions. In September, Nike reported a 44% increase in inventory.

The sign-posting of more government investment in decarbonisation is a major reason for China's copper buyers to feel confident about restocking physical units at current price levels.
Indian consultancy Coalmint expects September thermal coal imports from Russia to decline 30% from August to 1.4 million tonnes, it said in a note to clients. London-based analytics firm DBX Commodities estimates Indian shipments of the power generation fuel to fall to 1.5 million tonnes this month from 1.9 million tonnes in August, Chief Executive Alexandre Claude told Reuters on Thursday. Coal shipments from Russia had risen in July and August despite a decline in overall Indian imports of the fuel, making Russia India's third largest coal supplier. DBX expects India's total thermal coal imports to fall to about 13 million tonnes from 15 million tonnes in August, Claude said. "(Overall Indian) thermal coal imports have been declining since June as the heatwave then started to recede and the economy started to falter," he said.
Home-improvement retailer Lowe’s Cos. said it’s created immersive, interactive three-dimensional models of two of its U.S. stores to achieve better visibility into inventory data and store layouts. The company is currently piloting the digital twins in its Mill Creek, Wash., and central Charlotte, N.C., locations. Lowe’s is leveraging Nvidia Inc.’s Nvidia Omniverse, a real-time graphics collaboration platform, to create these digital twins and iterate on them. So far, these digital twins have been primarily used in manufacturing and factory scenarios, they say. Lowe’s says it has no clear timeline for when it might extend the digital twin technology beyond Mill Creek and Charlotte.

NEW YORK, Sept 16 (Reuters Breakingviews) - If only FedEx delivered profit as reliably as parcels. Boss Raj Subramaniam blamed macroeconomic trends, but the performance at United Parcel Service (UPS.N) suggests poor judgement made matters worse. FedEx raised wages amid Covid-19, when delivery people were putting in overtime to get toilet paper and hand sanitizer onto doorsteps. Founder Frederick Smith is presiding as executive chairman after Subramaniam ascended to be chief executive in June. FedEx plans to cut back flights, reduce working hours, defer hiring and close some of its office locations to save money.
When the government decides to start buying, oil prices could get some nice support, which would be good for our energy holdings. When a player like the U.S. government goes from supplier to buyer, its a pretty positive sign for those that benefit from higher oil prices. Remember, the variable part of the dividend payments that all three companies pay are tied directly to free cash flow generation. Coterra's free cash flow breakeven is about $40 per barrel as of its second quarter results. In July 2021, U.S. oil prices fell below $70 after OPEC said it would increase output as Covid fears weighed on global demand.
