On Saturday afternoon I drove out to eastern Pennsylvania, one of the big battlegrounds between President Biden and Donald Trump in this election, to attend Mr. Trump’s final rally before his criminal trial starts Monday. I was curious about the mood of Trump voters as this historic case gets underway. Instead, I found young women in sequins, older ladies in tutus, men sporting all manner of red-white-and-blue combos, and most everyone reveling in MAGA fellowship. It felt a little like the Whos down in Whoville gathering to sing after the Grinch stole Christmas. I didn’t run across anyone sweating the trial.

I manage an Etsy store that made $403,499 last year after Etsy's fees and postage costs. Since starting the store, I've moved out of my parent's house and started renting a studio in Orlando. That's when I realized my Etsy store could replace my income from teaching. Quitting my job was scary, but I knew that even if this particular shop failed, I could set up another store on Etsy.

But J&J's drug is walking away with a notable edge over its rival. They add more options to a growing arsenal of treatments that have helped improve outcomes for people with multiple myeloma. But the new approvals also give J&J's therapy, which was developed with Legend Biotech, a clear advantage over Bristol Myers's drug. J&J's drug has gradually gained ground over Abecma in the CAR-T market for multiple myeloma, even though it first entered the market a year later. With the new approval on Friday, Jefferies' Shi expects J&J's drug to win the majority of that market share.

"While investors seem to be anxiously awaiting easing monetary policy, the current environment does not quite scream 'rate cuts!'" That sentiment has manifested itself lately in market pricing. That same day, the Labor Department will release the CPI report, which is expected to show the headline inflation rate rising 3.4% in March on a year-over-year basis, per Dow Jones. This is nonetheless "the right time to cut rates," wrote David Kelly, chief global strategist at JPMorgan Asset Management. "What has underpinned this market is the promise of a series of rate cuts including March, and now it has dwindled to just a few rate cuts.

Nesting — where the kids stay in the family home, and parents are the ones packing up and changing house — was the obvious choice for us. But we didn't just keep the kids in the home they were used to and move ourselves in and out. Keeping our kids in one place means their routines aren't disruptedFirst off, the kids stay in their same "zen dens," which is what we call their bedrooms. It helps keep my expenses down, and since they stay in the city, they don't have any long commutes. Courtesy Cordelia NewlinBoth kids have also come to the conclusion that life is mostly the same.

When we first moved to Los Angeles, our two-bedroom apartment had more than enough room for our family of five. My husband, son, and I shared a king-sized bed in our small bedroom, while my three teens shared the second bedroom. My aunt got the living room. Lastly, my aunt got a comfy reclining chair and a bed in the living room. After a certain time of night, the living room becomes her bedroom.

Just over 2% of applicants to a Houston-area guaranteed income program were accepted — a lower acceptance rate than Harvard or Yale. Starting this month, 1,928 families will receive $500 a month, no strings attached, through Uplift Harris, a guaranteed income program in the Texas county that includes Houston. A majority of participants selected live in high-poverty ZIP codes and have a household income below 200% of the federal poverty line. Some participants were selected through the county's Accessing Coordinated Care and Empowering Self Sufficiency program which helps vulnerable residents improve outcomes. The pilot has been met with opposition from politicians including Texas State Sen. Paul Bettencourt, who in January sent a letter to the state attorney general concerning whether counties can legally enact guaranteed income programs.

About four years ago, when my landlord bought the property, I was his very first tenant. Before the pandemic, I had been in the market for quite a long time looking to buy a house. When I signed that first rental lease with my landlord in May 2020, I completely pulled myself out of the market. After being bummed about that, a few days later my landlord texted me saying, "Hey, I'm putting this house on the market. He shared with me that he bought his own place and that he was no longer going to be living in that house.

CNN —As of Monday, about half a million fast food workers in California are making at least $20 per hour, $4 higher than the overall state minimum wage. This council can also recommend standards for fast-food worker safety and work with existing state agencies to investigate issues like wage theft. Mendelsohn, who owns six El Pollo Loco locations, has long championed workers’ rights, including helping trans workers connect with jobs. “I just wish it was being done over a longer period of time and it wasn’t just fast food,” Mendelsohn said. Additionally, they hope the council can discus fair working conditions, including wage theft, excessive heat and violence at work.

He would allocate roughly 60% into stocks this way: 15% each to U.S. large-cap growth stocks and U.S. large-cap value stocks; 4% to small-caps; and 8% to mid-caps. "We really believe in style diversification and feel that remaining diversified with value and growth stocks remains prudent," Benson said. With a million dollars to invest, it would be "reasonable" for investors to put their money in both small- and mid-cap stocks now, he said. The average amount of money that his clients invest is $1.3 million, and his firm manages over $1.2 billion.

The subway crime that Jimmy Sumampow had been hearing about in recent years — as well as his own experience — had already led him to make plans to leave New York City. Then, on Friday, he saw a video online of the shooting on an A train this week. “I feel I should move out for a while and see if New York takes action and gets better,” he said. For Elise Anderson, however, the shooting did not raise her level of concern. Subway crime data in recent years shows a muddled picture, and just as they have in surveys of riders and polls of residents, New Yorkers’ opinions diverge.
