The California attorney general's office is investigating Tesla , seeking information from customers and former employees about Autopilot safety issues and false advertising complaints, CNBC has learned. Wester isn't the only Tesla customer to be contacted by analysts with the attorney general's office after voicing safety and related concerns. The person had previously voiced concerns about Autopilot and FSD safety issues at Tesla and publicly. While the company has previously identified "requests from the DOJ for documents related to Tesla's Autopilot and FSD features," Tesla has not disclosed that the California attorney general was investigating the company.

Twitter user Jeromy Sonne said The Boring Company struck a deal with him over a website domain. In exchange for the domain, The Boring Company gave him a tour and company swag, Sonne told Insider. But, when Musk announced The Boring Company planned to sell "Burnt Hair" cologne, Jeromy Sonne said he saw an opportunity. Now, the website domain redirects to The Boring Company's main website. The Wall Street Journal previously reported that the billionaire is in the process of building a company town for SpaceX, Tesla, and The Boring Company employees in Bastrop.

London/Berlin CNN —Tesla has lodged an application to double the production capacity of its plant near Berlin to 1 million electric vehicles a year. The expansion means the Tesla factory, which delivered its first vehicle in March last year, would overtake Volkswagen (VLKAF)’s sprawling plant in the German city of Wolfsburg, stealing its crown as Europe’s biggest car factory. Anyone objecting to Tesla’s proposal to expand the German factory has until September 18 to do so. Tesla’s biggest factory outside the United States is in Shanghai. In 2022, more than half of the vehicles Tesla delivered were made in China.
