This presumed expansion of a president’s power sets the stage for a future “imperial presidency,” and it is music to Donald Trump’s ears. That is much faster than the 20 minutes or so it currently takes some electric cars using a fast charger, such as a Tesla (TSLA) Supercharger. Nyobolt’s battery is compatible with a Supercharger, the startup told CNN. “This is many multiples higher than the warranties of much larger EV batteries on the road today,” it noted. Instead of delivering that judgment many months ago and allowing the trial to proceed, the justices have given Mr. Trump the gift of delay piled upon delay. American voters will enter ballot booths to choose between Donald Trump and President Biden without knowing whether Mr. Trump is guilty of the crimes with which a grand jury of his fellow citizens charged him. This decision may seem like a reflection of a rogue conservative majority that can, in time, be changed.

CNN —With another pricey Alzheimer’s disease treatment expected to receive an approval decision soon, the nonprofit Alzheimer’s Association has published the final version of its new diagnostic criteria for the disease. Together with another protein, tau, which makes fibrous tangles that block the communication of nerve cells, they are considered a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease. “There’s no evidence for it,” said Dr. George Perry, a neurobiologist and editor of the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease. Two members of the panel were employees of the Alzheimer’s Association, which also takes funding from pharmaceutical companies. Widera says he hopes that in the next round of guidelines, the Alzheimer’s Association will consider the risks involved.
